Statistical Pricing Specialist
Location: EMEA Business Service Center in Budapest, Hungary
Supports the regional pricing organization in developing and implementing strategic pricing programs to meet business objectives on growth and profitability. Liaison with Pricing Analyst and Pricing Manager, Eaton Sales Team and Product Management. Support projects or programs for price management, with coordination of cross-functional resources
Performs statistical analytics aimed at developing pricing models to support business objectives growth and profitability
Works closely with third party partner to perform the analytics on historical data. Sets up a strong feedback loop to input business insights into the proposed models.
Partners with sales, product management and pricing team members to gain business insights.
Performs exploratory analytics to find relevant patterns, trends, customer behavior and anomalies in the data.
Proposes solutions to problems identified through analytics.
Explain outcome of data analytics to stake holders in appropriate forms to facilitate strategic pricing initiatives. Data includes sales, cost, rebate, price list, deductions, etc. extracted from ERP systems (e.g., MFG-Pro) and/or a data warehouse form (e.g., COGNOS).
Forecasts the financial results of executing the pricing programs
Prepares reports to demonstrate the progress on the projects in pipeline and results on programs implemented
Develop working relationships with key business managers (pricing managers, product managers, customer support, and sales managers) to support pricing initiatives and strategy implementation.
Creating and maintaining SOPs on regular basis.
Degree in statistics and/or business management is preferred
3-5 years of experience in statistical analytics
Experience in sales, marketing, pricing data is preferred
Experience in manufacturing industry is preferred
Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels in the organization
Strong business acumen and ability to apply gross margin / profitability concepts
Understanding of costing concepts and terminology
Demonstrated ability to solve unique business problems
Ability to handle a large amount of transactional data and determine trends at both a part number level as well as overall state of the business
Ability to translate and communicate analytics results to drive business outcomes
Highly motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills
Technical proficiency in following areas is required:
• Atleast one of the Statistical Analysis Software e.g. R, SAS or SPSS
• MS Access, MS Excel
English fluent, a second language a plus.
