Eaton Corporation Rim Fabricator (2nd Shift) in Brooklyn, Ohio

Eaton’s Hydraulic division is currently seeking a Rim Fabricator to join our team. This position is based at our Brooklyn, OH facility.

Operating manual machinery, the Rim Fabricator will roll rims to fabricate the initial rim from flat steel stock, operate auto-weld equipment and grind off excess materials for uniformity; use an expander and rim-former to fabricate rim flanges. Utilizes manual punch to create valve holes in steel rims. Candidate may also be required to operate balancing and correction equipment per customer requirements. Perform setups and modifications for all equipment, and verify dimensions, as well as preventative maintenance tasks. Throughout the process, candidate may also utilize MIG and stick welding, as well as operate a band saw.

· You will operate a variety of manual equipment that punches, forms, and balances steel flat stock and rims

· You will utilize clamps, holding fixtures, drill jigs, or other suitable work holding devices or attachments to efficiently machine all types of parts made from flat steel stock

· You will set up metal forming machines and tooling to perform jobs as specified by drawings or sketches.

· You will operate electric hoist or crane, as required, for moving heavy pieces in the course of the work.

· You will identify and deburr pieces manually or with equipment, as necessary.

· You will move production and contract parts, tools, and materials within the work area, by using all types of material handling equipment.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in MIG and Stick welding

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing industry

  • No relocation offered; candidate must reside within 50 miles of Brooklyn, OH site

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship

  • This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, industrial, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.

  • Previous experience and ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.

  • Basic working knowledge and experience with computers

  • Must demonstrate a good attendance record

  • Must be willing to travel at Company expense for business needs

  • Must be able to follow routing instructions and operate simple machinery
