Eaton Corporation Lean Coordinator in Brooklyn, Ohio

Eaton’s Hydraulics Division is currently seeking a Lean Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Brooklyn, OH facility.

The Lean Coordinator will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for leading and deployment of the continuous improvement tools and processes of the Eaton Business System, including Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) in support of overall plant objectives.

  • You will develop a strategic plan for the plant to drive a learning culture and implement lean tools and processes, including gap analysis to current state.

  • You will partner with Operations and Support Functions to develop plans to identify and address current and future obstacles through use of Lean & CI tools. Guide Continuous Improvement Framework deployment (Visual Controls, Process Standardization, Standard Work, GEMBA Walks, Manning Strategy, Daily Accountability, Process Checks and CI for all).

  • You will support and coordinate CI planning and assessment activities including EBS Pull, Operations Assessment (OpA) and Eaton Business Excellence (EBE) assessment and improvement activities.

  • You will support the plant Continuous Improvement Council that consists of plant leaders. Council and monitor progress to the strategic plan and redirects activities and resources as needed to improve safety and quality, drive cost out of the business, and improve the lean culture and tool usage.

  • You will support Kaizen events (Rapid Improvement Events) and train Kaizen team leaders to facilitate events. Coordinate and drive structured closure process on follow-up activities.

  • You will interact with customer service managers and sales managers to facility cost out improvement opportunities or VA/VE events with our customers.

  • You will be responsible for the implementation and deployment of actions to ensure compliance with ISO and OSHA regulations, and all Federal, State and Local laws as they apply to their areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience deploying Lean Manufacturing in a plant environment.

  • This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR. ITAR/EAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Brooklyn, OH facility to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Experience in a high mix/low volume manufacturing environment.

  • Black Belt Certification.
