Eaton Corporation Product Manager in Boca Raton, Florida

Eaton’s Circuit Protection business has an opening for a Product Manager. This role will ideally be based out of Boca Raton, Florida or Pleasanton, California but this position can work remotely anywhere in the United States.

The primary function is to develop and drive the tactical plan in support of the Circuit Protection business strategic plan to grow the business to $65M by 2021 with a focus on Americas and EMEA design-in opportunities.

The Product Manager is responsible for driving and managing the business for circuit protection in coordination with R&D, operations and the commercials sales team to achieve sales and profit goals (47% trade sales net standard margin).

Activities may include product and technology definition through voice of the customer, production capacity planning, driving the product strategy to tactical activities of the commercial sales team with regard to sales channel, pricing, product selection, application support, technical training and marketing communications. In addition to these responsibilities, the Product Manager provides leadership of all key marketing tasks surrounding assigned products and support of business planning functions including strategic planning, profit planning and product line liaison with the factory.

Essential Functions:

  • Own go-to-market strategy and execution of launch plans for assigned products and assist commercial team with deployment of effective channel coverage, primarily in Americas and EMEA.

  • Provide support to the Global Product Manager into the strategic planning and profit planning processes to maximize growth potential and market share.

  • Craft a product marketing plan for Americas and EMEA commercial team, communicate and work with sales team and operations to effectively deploy the plan. Marketing plan includes regional tactical planning for promotional activities, training, channel programs, sales tool definition and deployment, product development needs and marcom

  • Drive the development of product plans and forecasts for products marketed. Ensure alignment with financial objectives and drive attainment of monthly, quarterly and annual goals.

  • Provide support to the price strategy and positioning process as well as the overall product line profitability to achieve business profitability and growth goals.

  • Drive circuit protection opportunities to bookings through pipeline management in coordination with sales management (primarily for Americas and EMEA opportunities) to achieve revenue and margin targets.

  • Provide support to operations and GPM for circuit protection related STP activities including relocation of production lines from one region to another.

  • Work with Bussmann UL sales team in North America to support Eaton's Electronics division circuit protection product through sales channels managed by the Bussmann UL team as needed.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required

  • Minimum 5 years experience in marketing, sales, or engineering within the electrical or electronics industry

  • This position does not offer relocation but remote work within the United States is available

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Engineering is preferred

  • MBA is preferred

  • Knowledge of circuit protection technology and applications desired (particularly with one-time fuses)

  • 3 years product marketing experience desired
