Eaton Corporation Continuous Improvement Manager in Bethel, Connecticut
Eaton’s Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Bethel, Connecticut facility.
The CI Manager will lead Lean and Six Sigma process deployment, training and mentoring at the plant level. Main job duties center around the creation and implementation of Lean and Six Sigma strategies, which will result in improvements in factory margins, product delivery performance, employee safety and reductions in product/process variation.

You will work through the leadership team to drive the development and implementation of the site Lean and Six Sigma strategy, actions, and cross-functional activities.
You will provide site Lean and Six Sigma training. Conducts Eaton Lean System (ELS) assessments, and identify performance gaps. Works through the leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps.
You will provide Lean and Six Sigma support across the organization to drive short-term and long term business improvements.
You will utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.
You will work through site leadership to guide the site continuous improvement team, and corporate Lean initiatives and reporting.
You will support the continuous improvement (Lean and Six Sigma) team. Assists in improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.
You will provide site Lean and 6 Sigma Mentoring. Build Continuous Improvement and Lean culture to drive change.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
Minimum 5 years of Continuous Improvement experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Operations or Product Engineering (or a combination of these functions).
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area (50 miles) of the Bethel, CT facility will be considered for this position.
Formal training/certification in Lean ( 5S, Standard work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Setup Reduction (SUR), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Material Flow (LMF) and 6 Sigma).
Experience implementing Lean in Low volume High mix type product environment.

Experienced Lean and 6 Sigma trainer and mentor.
