Eaton Corporation Maintenance Technician in Bedhampton, United Kingdom

The position is mainly responsible for overseeing all activities associated with the Test Rigs. The role will report to the Test Facility Supervisor, the position drives continuous improvement in production, quality, and safety while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).

Particular emphasis is to be on the Introduction of rig Specific Maintenance, Test Rig SPC and PPAP. To remove variability of the test process.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out Test of Production and MRO units as part of Rig Specific Maintenance

Supports production demands by carrying out repairs and maintenance to machines, Test Rigs and associated equipment.

Drive continuous improvement and application through the use of EBS, CIF, 5s+ and best practices.

Fault find and assist with the installation of machine tools, test rigs and factory equipment which can involve mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines.

Carries out all maintenance work in accordance with safe working practices safety regulations and are consistent with company standards.

Can be called upon to be a member of the damage control party and drive company vehicles including fork lift trucks.

Support production demands by ensuring that efficient maintenance is carried out on production equipment by implementing and maintaining planned maintenance programs.

Maintain close communication with the product leaders to establish job priorities

Fault find and repair machine tools and test plant involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.

Can be called upon to install and assist with commissioning of both new and re-sited machines.

Order and follow up maintenance spares and repairs required to support the product cells.

Able to make decisions on the repair of Machine Tools and Test Stands and identify the parts required


Essential Qualifications

If Part Of An Apprenticeship or Similar Educational Scheme

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations

Minimum 1-3 years of experience leading others
