Senior Sales Representative (m/f)

Location: Baden-Baden - Germany

In support of the Account Manager in charge of the German customers, the Senior Sales Representative will cooperate in the achievement of the regional sales strategy and activities for specific OEM(s), Tier 1 in Germany. In addition, the Senior Sales Representative will directly manage small customers or projects in the country. The Senior Sales Representative will support all customer programs that revolve around pricing, revenue, growth, profitability, design, and customer satisfaction. In addition, he will support the Account Manager with broader scope activities, like Profit Plan, Strategic Plan and Pricing activities for the Market served.

Essential Functions:

  • Support, for all the assigned small customers, all the programs that revolve around pricing, revenue, growth, profitability design, and customer satisfaction

  • Serves as a member of a cross-functional customer interface team to insure a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness to customer needs.

  • Support the development of the regional customer strategy for both the annual profit and five-year strategic plans

  • Provides input into the description, qualification, and recommendations of growth opportunities for new products.

  • Gathers competitive information about projects/ product / platform trends / directions and reports it to the Account Manager and team.

  • Coordinated cost reduction programs to support customer cost cutting initiatives while maintaining internal profitability targets.

  • Deploys the customer relationship review (CRR) process and assists in developing action plans to improve customer satisfaction performance.

  • Assists with the resolution of all open DSO issues at responsible customer base.

Builds customer-supplier relationships through daily interface with customer, operations, and engineeringQualifications

  • Understand customer needs and their decision-making process. Anticipate needs of customers and prospects by observing patterns among groups of similar customers. Understand competitor motivation for current actions and develops ways of responding. Use business intelligence tools such as scenario planning to predict competitor actions. Leverage sponsors and coaches to gather input to tailor our offerings.

  • Champions the effort to develop a compelling value proposition to the customer given the products and services that are currently available. Clearly quantifies and articulates how our offering differs from competitors in terms of overall economics. Identifies where, in the customer's organization, different aspects of our value proposition will be recognized and valued.

  • Have a fundamental understanding of aggregate price elasticity and economics and value map position by customer groups, channels or specific products. Explain total economic value and minimum acceptable price based on our cost structure. Capture a premium in customer situations where we have a functional, process or relationship advantage. Understand current market price levels on entire product line. Understand profitability and resource requirements of their accounts.

  • BS degree in Engineering, Business or other approved discipline. (Fluent in German & English)

  • 1 – 3 year in Auto industry

  • Cost estimating, pricing.
