Eaton Corporation Production Supervisor - 1st Shift in Aurora, Colorado

Eaton’s Electrical/ Lighting Division is currently seeking a production Supervisor Shift 1(5 AM – 3:30 PM) 4 day week (Monday – Thursday) to join our team.

This position is located in Aurora, CO.

The primary function of the Production Supervisor will be to plan, coordinate, supervise and motivate the activities of all assigned employees to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency goals for the shift. They will develop the team through teaching, coaching, mentoring and leadership and will report to the Focus Factory Manager.

  • You will provide direct supervision for production employees in assigned area and participate in employment and staffing decisions, performance management decisions.

  • You will maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance; maintain all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules.

  • You will develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan.

  • You will plan and prioritize production schedules based on customer delivery dates, efficiencies, and material supplies and monitor departmental productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded.

  • You will be responsible for all duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Company and employee objectives and/or goals.

  • You will use Eaton systems and tools to ensure appropriate execution within assigned areas and develop employees within areas of responsibility to work as a team to accomplish goals as set forth by the company and location.

  • You will engage direct reports in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving and provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.

  • You will implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture and fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.

  • You will communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced and communicate effectively with other departments to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of operations leadership experience in a

  • manufacturing environment.

  • Relocation is not approved must reside within a 50 miles radius from Aurora, CO

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior people management experience is strongly preferred.

  • Experience using SAP

  • Bilingual in Spanish language

    Position Success Criteria:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and engineering systems and processes.

  • Willingness and availability to work second shift hours and weekends as needed.

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to walk frequently.

  • Good understanding and positive support of standard personnel policies and practices.

  • Interpersonal communication skills: Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, manage through conflict, and strive for continuous improvement.

  • Strong managerial courage and ability to work through resistance and pushback to change.

  • Strong drive for results is essential, with self-directed leadership, requiring minimal supervision & being proactive.

  • Must possess high ethical standards and ability to abide by Eaton’s values and philosophies.
