Eaton Corporation Materials Analyst in Auburn, Indiana

Eaton, a diversified industrial manufacturer, has an opening for a full-time Materials Analyst at its clutch assembly facility in Auburn, Indiana. Candidates for this position must be willing to work second shift and able to fulfill the following responsibilities of the role.

  • Manage day-to-day distribution activities of the Clutch Logistics Center

  • Actively involved in lean activities/teams that improve materials management for the CLC & Auburn Plant

  • Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals

  • Processes Shipments in Oracle per schedule (WMS)

  • Coordinate skid counts with first shift logistics analyst and start putting together Shipping Request forms for carriers

  • Help shippers with questions about orders (carrier information, locate parts, add parts in the system, etc.)

  • Help loaders and drivers to find their freight and help with any discrepancies (ie. Paperwork, missing skids, etc.)

  • Answer any Customer Service requests and run Business Intelligence report

  • Re-print orders not completed for the day

  • Setting up expedites and miscellaneous shipper documents

  • Scan for line-set orders/ run line-set order

  • Coordinates Global Drop Ship and Multi-Drop ship program

  • Updates load checklist for shipping operations

  • Order trucks for Production and Service Orders (Access specific customer required websites)


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 1 years of manufacturing, supply chain or production planning experience

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Degree in Business/ Logistics or Engineering

Position Criteria:

  • Oracle ERP/MRP or SAP systems knowledge a plus

  • Computer knowledge, both software and hardware

  • Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience working in a matrix environment

  • Strong ethics, values and the ability to influence others’ decision-making

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/activities; results-driven

  • Ability to work effectively with production to assess ability to meet customer needs
