Eaton Corporation Assembly Technician - 2nd Shift in Athens, Georgia

Eaton’s Vehicle division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician I on 2nd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Athens, GA facility.

The assembly Technician will be responsible for operating safely, efficiently, and effectively various manufacturing and CNC equipment and related systems. Able to trouble shoot and adjust manufacturing processes to ensure quality and cycle time improvements. Ensures compliance with all quality standards and customer requirements while striving to meet the company’s profit objectives

  • You will perform all necessary changeovers and adjustments to maintain performance to hit throughput targets and quality targets.

  • You will follow procedures for maintaining machine fluids and procedures for proper management of waste products.

  • You will identify potential equipment problems, and report potential equipment problems to maintenance. Work directly with other Line Personnel, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Leadership Team members to problem solve and correct production-related issues.

  • You will comply with all TS16949 standards and quality requirements, including visual requirements. Stop and correct job operation if product quality is affected negatively.

  • You will assist and provide necessary training to current and new associates. Ability to train on multiple pieces of equipment and processes.

  • You will comply with all Athens plant and Eaton policies and objectives. This is includes compliance with internal documentation and communication. Also, all standard EHS practices and guidelines embodying a Zero Incident Culture. Participate in Hear Hit program, safety impact, and training.

  • You will maintain safe and efficient manufacturing equipment via adherence to DPMI’s and PM’s.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Athens, GA to be considered.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Certification from an accredited institution

  • A minimum of two years of manufacturing
