Eaton Corporation Machine Operator - 2nd Shift in Amarillo, Texas

Eaton Crouse-Hinds is currently seeking a Machine Operator to join our team. This position is based at our Amarillo, TX facility.

The Machine Operator operates, makes adjustments, and maintains production quality to perform close tolerance operations. The core hours for this position are on second shift.

  • You will operate an automatic tapping, drilling and/or reaming machine and CNC machines

  • You will position parts into chuck, fixtures, or otherwise load machine

  • You will initiate machine cycles and remove machine parts

  • You will bend and remove parts from a tub, placing into a fixture and cycling the machine by pressing palm buttons

  • You will regularly gauge and/or visually check castings following established procedures with a manual gauge and caliper

  • You will read and interpret information on screen to make necessary adjustments to machines

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Amarillo, TX will be considered.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in machining metal working machines

  • Proven ability to run a machine with multiple settings or specifications

Position Success Criteria:

  • Understanding of how to use precision gauging instruments

  • Utilize basic math skills as needed

  • Ability to proactively work with other team members

  • This position involves standing and/or walking for an entire eight – twelve hour

  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition

  • Ability to comprehend and follow moderately technical standards and maintenance procedures

  • Ability to read drawings

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
