PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manage and coordinate distributor pricing levels, communications, promotions, training and inventory management to accomplish the end result of assisting the region to achieve assigned sales goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work with the Electrical Sales Force to determine local market levels, and coordinate with Marketing to set accurate pricing levels for the district.
* Ensure all distributors have current, accurate lists of available literature.
* Coordinate with the Electrical Sales Force in developing, updating and implementation of Mutual Marketing Plans as it pertains to stock goods and promotions.
* Assist in development of local promotions at distributor level.
* Coordinate local rollout of national promotions, product introductions, and merchandising efforts.
* Assist in development and coordinate local implementation of national standards for counter displays and merchandising.
* Identify distributor personnel training needs and plan using local training and Eaton University.
* Ensure all distributor branches have adequate access to and training on Eaton proprietary pricing tools.
* Monitor training program effectiveness through follow-up, feedback reports, class exams and interviews.
* Monitor inventory at assigned distributors to ensure adequate levels of standard control and distribution products.
* Evaluate turns and provide guidance on slow moving items.
* Assist distributors in standard goods promotions and seasonal specials/events programs.
* Work with distributors to phase in new products, and phase out old products.
* Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental standards.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Education
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering, or business discipline.
Professional training/designation and/or licenses
P.Eng, EIT or CET preferred.
