Eaton is on the hunt for a talented Senior Continuous Improvement Analyst for the North Street Waukesha, WI facility.

Position Overview:

The Continuous Improvement Analyst provides leadership and support to the sites continuous improvement functions, including leading Lean and Six Sigma process deployment at the plant level. Main responsibilities center on the creation and implementation of Lean and Six Sigma strategies, which will lead to improvements in factory margins, product delivery performance, employee safety and reductions in product/process variation. This position will also own the 5S+ program at the plant level and will lead the execution and deployment of 5S+ activities across the plant including Cost Out projects. The Continuous Improvement Analyst conducts VSM / Kaizen/ RIE events at plant level and provides coaching and development to lean practitioners resulting in increased employee engagement by leveraging the Eaton Lean Tools and Continuous Improvement Framework.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as a member of the plant leadership team and leads the development and implementation of the site Lean and Six Sigma strategy, actions, and cross-functional activities.

  • Conducts Eaton Lean System (ELS) assessments, and identify performance gaps. Works through the leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps.

  • Leads 5S transformation of the plant (5S program plant Owner)

  • Conduct 5S+ training, score-carding, red tag area for the plant, audits, zone layout, checklist adherence etc.

  • Utilizes Eaton’s Continuous Improvement Framework, Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.

  • Owner of CI training programs and One point lessons.

  • Leads the OpEX Project Council. Assists in improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.

  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement at the site through employee engagement and problem-solving at all levels of the organization.

  • Trains and develops lean practitioners.

  • Leads or facilitates cross-function problem solving teams or events to address key initiatives in the plant using A3’s, VSM’s, RIE’s, Six Sigma, Standardized Work, etc.

  • Trains all employees and deploys the Lean tools (5S, VSM, Standard Work, Setup Reduction, TPM, Problem Solving, Material Flow, and Six Sigma). Conducts training needs assessment associated with ELS and facilitates site ELS tools training for all employees.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 2 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience or a combination of those functions

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Manufacturing or Operations experience

  • Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing Black Belt Certification

  • Experience in implementing Lean in Low volume High mix type product environment

  • Knowledge of the following: Lean manufacturing techniques (value stream mapping, one piece flow, problem solving)

  • Manufacturing principles and technical specifications.

  • Thorough understanding of problem solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, DMAIC, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Gage R & R, control charts, Pareto charts, etc.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and MiniTab, etc.

  • Effectively communicates to all levels within the organization with proven ability to engage others and lead change in a team environment.
