Eaton Corporation Regulators Assembler - Team B - 2nd Shift in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Eaton Power Systems has a 2nd Shift Regulators Team B Assembler opening in Waukesha, WI (Badger dr).

Primary Function:

Responsible for producing and assembling all types of Regulators in a continuous flow environment to meet agreed upon customer requirements. This position will be responsible for the assembly of regulators, tap-changers, sinking of Regulators into tanks, building the covers, operating the vacuum pumps, and running Test equipment. Responsible for being able to perform the various job functions as described in the job description at an acceptable level of efficiency and Quality. Assembler must be willing to do various jobs as directed and assist all other team members as needed to meet Takt time of Regulators through continuous flow line.

Typical Duties:

  • Regulator Assembler-Station 1-Tap Changers-

  • Assembler must be able to build the sub assembly that is required in the final assembly of all tap changers with use of calibrated tooling.

  • This would include all operations done on the sub-assembly stations.

  • The job duties include ordering and restocking of components used at this station.

  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.

  • The assembler must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation

  • Regulator Assembler-Station 2-Tap Changers-

  • The Assembler must be able to construct and test all types of tap changers using the OPS and standard work.

  • The Assembler will also be required to build any newly designed tap changers as required, and assist all other team members as required to meet Takt time of the work center.

  • The job duties include ordering and restocking of components used at this station.

  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.

  • The assembler must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation.

  • Regulator Assembler Station 1-

  • Assembler will pull unit from oven, collect and kit all needed parts for assembly, and install some of the components on the Regulator as designated in the Standard Work, and according to the OPS with calibrated torque equipment.

  • The assembler must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects as required and assist all other team members as required to meet Takt time of work center.

  • The job duties include ordering and restocking of components used at this station.

  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.

  • Regulator Assembler Station 2-

  • Assembler receives unit from Station 1 and will install components as designated in the standard work, and according to the OPS with calibrated torque equipment..

  • The assembler must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects as required, and assist all other team members as required to meet Takt time of work center.

  • The job duties include ordering and restocking of components used at this station.

  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.

  • Regulator Assembler Station 3

  • Assembler receives unit from station 2 and will install components as designated in the standard work, and according to the OPS with calibrated torque equipment..

  • The assembler must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects as required, and assist all other team members as required to meet Takt time of work center.

  • Assembler will be responsible for installing the cover, and finishing all operations of the assembly and sinking the unit in the tank.

  • Conducts ratio testing on the unit and troubleshoots any potential problems found in order to complete ratio test.

  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.

  • Regulator Assembler Floor-

  • Assembles and builds regulators up until cover operation, per the OPS, aid in prepping tanks for sinking, and assists all other team members as needed to meet Takt time throughout work center.

  • The job duties include ordering and restocking of components used at this station.

  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.

  • Pad-Mount Regulator Assembler

  • Pulls unit from oven and transports to assembly area in warehouse.

  • Assembles unit on floor, complete per OPS requirements.

  • Ratio tests unit before sinking.

  • Troubleshoots any problems during process.

  • Sinks unit into required tank.

  • Finishes all internal hookups as required per OPS.

  • Install bypass module if needed per OPS.

  • Transport unit to 3phase vacuum chambers for processing.

  • Building of pad-mounts will also include assembling of multi-phase pad-mounts per requirements of OPS.

  • Regulator Assembler - Cover builder.

  • Builds all Regulator covers, J-Box Assemblies, bushings per the OPS, per quality standards with use of torque and DC controlled tooling.

  • Assists all other team members as needed to meet Takt time throughout work center.

  • The assembler must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation.

  • The job duties include ordering and restocking of components used at this station.

  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work

  • Regulator Assembler -Vacuum Pumps.

  • Moving unit to pumps by use of overhead crane.

  • Prepare unit for running on vacuum pump, per the OPS worksheet.

  • Operate the vacuum pump.

  • Run-in tests per OPS standards.

  • Remove unit from vacuum pump to leak test area by use of overhead crane.

  • Leak test units, per requirements of OPS.

  • Retrieve tanks from the warehouse to be prepped for sinking.

  • Use turn table/lift to sink square units.

  • Assists all other team members as needed to meet Takt time throughout work center.

  • Load units onto test line, after soak time has been completed per OPS standards.

  • The assembler must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation. The assembler is also responsible for ensuring that the oil in the unit is at the correct level.

  • The assembler will move the unit from the vacuum pumps to the test line, and all required test operation is complete according to the standard work.

  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School education or GED is required from an accredited institution

• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

•No relocation. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI in order to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
