Eaton Corporation Assembler - 2nd Shift in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Eaton’s Power Delivery Division is seeking Assembers-2nd Shift.

The Assemblers-2nd Shift will be based at our Waukesha-Badger Drive, WI Facility.

Primary Functions:

The team member is responsible for the production of all types of Transformers in a continuous flow environment to meet the agreed upon customer requirements. This position will be responsible for the internal assembly, drying and filling of all types of Transformers. Responsible for performing the various job functions as described in the job description at an acceptable level of efficiency and quality. Operators must be willing to perform various duties and assist all other team members as needed to meet Takt Time of Transformers through the continuous flow line

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Vacuum bell and preforming a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.

  • Make electrical connections for drying cycle per engineering instructions.

  • Climbing a 15 foot vertical ladder to check for foaming, oil level, etc.

  • Resistance testing

  • Make electrical connections per the Engineering Reference Drawing.

  • Conducts Resistance testing to a pass fail criteria

  • Make minor adjustments to unit if unit fails test.

  • Complete internal transformer assembly including the final connection to high and low voltage bushings as directed on the OPS.

  • Complete installation of high and low voltage bushing and other front plate hardware as directed on the

  • Complete sinking and installation of internal hardware

  • Complete internal transformer assembly conduction ratio testInstall thermo couples used in the vacuum bell process.

  • Perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.

  • Complete internal transformer assembly including the lead training for the fuses and internal arrestors

  • Complete internal transformer assembly including lead training for the coil to switches as directed on the OPS.

  • Building of sub-assemblies to be delivered to other areas of the continuous flow process.

  • Repair units and components that have failed test, are defective, or require other needed changes.

  • Teardown, repair and modification of customer supplied equipment as directed by the engineering or quality departments.


Basic Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED form an accredited institution is required.

  • Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship

  • Relocation benefits not included. Only candidates living within 50 miles of Waukesha WI will be considered

  • Minimum 1 year of experience of shop specifications (drawings, blueprints, process sheets, etc.)

  • Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience
