Description:
Eaton’s North American Sales Internship program is for students pursuing a degree in marketing, industrial distribution, or engineering – electrical, mechanical, manufacturing or industrial.
The objective of the internship program is to develop students in the sales function in the electrical and manufacturing industry through practical experiences, as well as assist in the personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. The assignment will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership and functional competencies within the field of sales, marketing and/or engineering.
Structure:
The internship program will expose a participant to selling electrical distribution products, solutions, and value in a competitive marketplace within a team environment to distributors, contractors, consultants, and end customers.
Participants will be assigned meaningful and challenging projects in their sales offices. In addition, other duties might include: project take-off and bid preparations; preparation of bills of materials, terms and conditions, and pricing; preparation of submittals, quotations follow-up, negotiating tracking; administration of change orders; support to Inside Sales and Outside Field Sales Engineers; and other duties assigned by the manager. There will also be several training opportunities available throughout the internship.
Location:
Various U.S. locations. Participants are likely to relocate for the internship and must be geographically flexible.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in marketing, industrial distribution, or engineering – electrical, mechanical, manufacturing or industrial.
Successful candidates must possess outstanding academic credentials, strong analytical skills, have excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills, and have demonstrated a strong desire and ambition to be a leader.
Preferred combined GPA of 3.0 or higher.
A second language is also beneficial but not required.
Authorization to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis, without visa sponsorship
Candidate must be geographically flexible.
