Job Description Eaton's Fuel Systems Division, based out of Titchfield UK, is looking for a Plant Manager to provide strategy and direction for all manufacturing and support functions ( approx 500 employees). 1. Sets overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with the Eaton Business System, Values and Philosophy.
2. Coordinates and directs through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, SCM, OpEx, HR and Finance.
3. Aligns operational objectives with the overall business objectives to ensure a strategy-focused workforce.
4. Manages and operating performance through the effective use of the Balanced Score Card process and structured problem solving.
5. Directs and mentors the Titchfield leadership team in the performance of their respective roles and consistent with the Eaton Leadership model.

Primary Function:

The individual will be required to conduct stress analysis, using FEA and hand calculations, in support of engineering project requirements for fuel systems and components throughout the design, development and production phases of both civil and military aerospace programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide structural substantiation for fuel systems and components using analytical and numerical methods.
• Prepare clear and concise structural justification reports in support of structural analysis activities.
• Assessment of requirements to establish critical load case definitions for structural certification of both static and fatigue conditions.
• Plan, control and deliver assigned tasks in order to ensure that requirements are delivered to plan and cost.
• Support the preparation of bids and estimates for work packages and identify risks associated with the structural analysis.
• Act as a point of contact with customers (internal and external), suppliers and other stakeholders to deliver solutions which meet the customer’s requirements, cost and programme plan.
• Liaise with low cost resource and suppliers on stress related issues and work packages.
• Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority.
• Working to, and development of, the company standard procedures and stress handbook methods.
• Promoting and contributing to initiatives aimed at improving the performance of the Stress team, Engineering department and the business.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) • Degree qualified in Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline, plus relevant aerospace experience.
• Sound fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering, stress, fatigue and vibration analysis.
• Strong background in Finite Element Analysis methods including linear, non-linear, normal modes and composite analysis and preferably has knowledge of Ansys, Catia, Pro/Engineer and MathCAD.
• Excellent knowledge of performing hand calculations.
• Highly developed communication skills with ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, at all levels.
• Knowledge of wrought and cast materials as well as plastics and composites.
• Knowledge and experience of FAA, EASA and Military requirements and certification processes.
• Well-developed planning and organisation skills.
• Good analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.

Job Description Eaton Corporation’s Aerospace location in Titchfield, UK has an immediate opening for a Materials Manager - SIOP. This position will be responsible for leading the implementation of a best-in-class SIOP process at an Aerospace WW level. In order to ensure successful integration, this position must establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders including financial controllers to link SIOP process with financial forecasts. Drive site/division Sales, site/division CSR’s to determine forward demand signals up to 18 months and beyond in each classification code relevant to the business. Team with site Operations to determine BIC capacity planning measures to support demand. Collaborate with site SCM to drive attainable supply based on the demand signals. Ensure the process links to individual part numbers to site production cells and aligns to divisional classification codes.
Inside of this scope is:
1) Development/Alignment/Adherence to Model Plant.
2) Development of measures to outline compliance, maturity and develop improvement actions
3) Develop a synchronization cadence of SIOP with Site Strategic Plan, Profit Plan and Rolling Forecast timetables.
4) Subject Matter Expert that trains the organization on SIOP disciplines, enacts continuous improvement and measure maturity.

Additional responsibilities include:
1) Development, coordination and deployment of integrated materials management activities including demand forecasting, capacity planning, product scheduling, inventory policy development, material / product delivery, supplier replenishment and integrated logistics processes.
2) Working closely with division/site plant managers, controllers, operations and site scm, this position assists in developing a roadmap to optimize inventory levels for defined levels of customer service.
3) Is the Subject Matter Expert for SIOP and must continuously improve SIOP across Aerospace.
4) This position requires active coordination with the Sales/Marketing, Operations, Finance and SCM teams to ensure the site is positioning material and capacity to meet firm and forecasted customer demand.

- Establishes Lean/Six Sigma strategies and execution/monitoring methodologies for the Continuous Improvement portion of the Strategic Business Plan, including growth, cost out and cultural change plans. Aligns improvement strategies to business profit plan for delivery, cost, and quality improvement impact.
- Participates as a key member of the leadership team. Contributes to business strategy development and operational execution of business plans. Helps to create the future state as it relates to shortened value streams, manufacturing strategies, cross-functional processes, and the establishment of uniform policies and procedures
- Provides leadership and coaching to direct reports to ensure proactive deployment of CI programs and initiatives to support the business strategies and plans.
- Interfaces with corporate functional and business leaders as well as counterparts at other Eaton plants to ensure alignment with the Eaton Business System. Participation in ELS, Six Sigma and other corporate groups/councils.

Job Description Eaton's Aerospace business based in Titchfield, Hampshire has a vacancy for an Electrical Development Engineer.

You will be an Electrical Development Engineer ideally with electrical machines or transformer experience, although not essential as training will be given. Essential to the role is the ability to devise test procedures, execute &amp; report on prototype &amp; qualification testing of electrical equipment. Communication skills are also vital as the role will involve working on various projects simultaneously, including co-ordinating with other project team members, liaising with manufacturing &amp; design departments, as well as evaluating results and providing feedback. Knowledge of aerospace practices is desirable, but not essential.

Structure:

This program is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees.
