Job Description Eaton Aerospace Group, located in Titchfield, has an opening for two Technical Authors.
The successful candidate will be required to:
.prepare text and illustrations for maintenance publications that inform technicians how to test and repair electro mechanical (and some limited electronic) equipment used in aircraft fuel systems.
.describe the construction and operation of components, the testing, disassembly and assembly procedures of components using assembly drawings, test schedules and other company/national specifications.
.convert company procedures and other specifications/instructions into Simplified Technical English.
.respond to customer queries and requests and provide publications to customers as applicable.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) .Minimum HNC in aerospace/mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent experience in a maintenance/assembly environment
.Fluent using MS Word with good written communication skills.
.Able to visualise in a simple form complex procedures.
.The ability to understand assembly drawings and/or exposure to CAD or Isometric production applications.
.Good basic computer file handling skills.
.Basic skills in editing bitmapped graphics files.
.Experienced Electro-mechanical Technical Author with Aerospace experience is desirable.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
