Job Description Eaton’s Aerospace business in Titchfield, Hampshire has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer with a mechanical engineering background.
Primary Function
Designs and develops competitive fuel system solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Configures and analyses aircraft fuel system/fuel tank inerting architectures
• Develops system requirements, interface and component specifications
• Plans and co-ordinates system tests, analyses and reports results
• Interprets test results and recommend changes to meet system requirements
• Ensures that technical, regulatory and commercial requirements are properly understood and that the design implementation meets these requirements
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) • Honours degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Systems Engineering
Specialised Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes
• Knowledge of aerospace safety processes and practices
• Analytical skills appropriate to fluid flow systems as applied to aircraft fuel systems, fuel tank inerting and fuel tank venting systems
• Knowledge of civil aviation regulations governing system design
• Good engineering degree or equivalent in mechanical, aeronautical or systems engineering
• Professional manner and ability to work well with customers
• Experience presenting at internal and external technical and commercial reviews.
• Communication skills– both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports
• Organisational and planning skills
