Eaton Corporation Global Demand Planning Analyst in Southern Pines, North Carolina
Eaton Corporation’s Hydraulics Group is currently seeking a Global Demand Planning Analyst for its Golf Division. The Global Demand Planning Analyst will be based at our Southern Pines, NC location.
Position Overview :
The Golf Pride Global Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for the first two steps of the Hydraulics SIOP process, and is also an active participant in the remaining steps. The primary responsibility and focus is to deliver an accurate Demand Plan. The Global Demand Planning Analyst is expected to fully participate as a cross-functional member of the Supply, Consensus and Executive review steps as well.
The Global Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for multi-channel demand planning and forecasting processes for the Global Golf Pride Business. This individual will interpret multiple sources of information to create an accurate representation of future demand behavior by customer, market, channel, plant and product line. This position will work closely with sales account managers, supply chain analysts, financial analysts and controllers to develop a monthly demand plan focused on customer, market, channel, plant and product line. Accuracy and bias will be measured at various revenue-based, as well as item and plant levels (WMAPE). This individual will lead the aggregation and analysis of topline demand forecasts, while highlighting risks and opportunities pertaining to customer, market and economic factors. This will enable senior leadership the support analysis needed to drive improved profitability, volume growth and achieve channel objectives. This position is responsible for guiding, supporting and training sales account managers, demand analysts and supply chain planners in philosophies and processes related to a world class demand planning organization. This position will be involved in key cross-functional decisions to include short and long-term strategy discussions, product initiatives, strategic business planning and systems integration.
Essential Responsibilities :
Own the monthly consensus demand planning process to include reporting aggregate plans to senior management on forecasts, assumptions, risks and opportunities.
Lead the coordination of market intelligence, customer forecasts and demand inputs from Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, New Product and Program management teams.
Create accurate item level demand forecasts using all available information including customer orders, statistical forecasts, POS data, new program launch assumptions, seasonal demand patterns, etc.
Assess forecast assumptions based on the analysis of market data, industry dynamics, statistics, business trends and demand patterns.
Analyze changes to key business drivers and shape those findings into a meaningful business story to drive decision making.
Maintain forecast accuracy metrics at various levels from product family to individual SKU and take action to drive continuous improvement at all levels of the forecast.
Maintain a yearly profit plan forecast and monthly rolling forecasts within a 18 Month forecasting horizon. Incorporate business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, customer service, program management, etc., to identify demand drivers and proactively confirm trends.
Develop accountability for demand management through performance measures and provide feedback to the participants in the process (e.g. Sales, Program Management, Finance).
Prepare a nuanced view of customer demand in detailed supply analysis and review meetings and collaborate across Golf Pride to collect key planning issues, clarify business implications and recommend appropriate counter-measures.
Establish SIOP KPI’s and drive accountability to process maturity through cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with Materials Management and Operations to achieve division goals for inventory, excess and obsolete reduction initiatives, and customer On-Time Delivery.
Coordinate and assist with plant initiatives and participating on teams in order to drive best practices across the enterprise.
Manage the Machining Cells’ high performance work teams.
Coordinate with Human Resources to address labor relations issues as they arise within production.
Drive continuous improvement through the use of EBS, Lean and HPWT’s.
Achieve labor productivity, reduction of overtime, and lead cost reduction efforts to drive factory cost take out.
Champion implementation of MESH to achieve improvement in year-over-year safety performance measures.
Manage site capital planning and execution processes.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more (or combination of) the following functional areas: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, SIOP (S&OP), or Logistics.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Materials Management, Material Planning, Master Scheduling, Materials Analysis.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in SIOP (S&OP) Demand Planning & Forecasting.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with a large scale MRP system, such as Oracle, SAP or MFGPro.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications :
APICS CPIM or S&OP Certification.
Minimum of 1 year of Manufacturing/Plant experience.
Minimum of 1 year of consumption-based replenishment experience, such as Min-max.
Experience with Demantra or other statistical software packages.
ERP/MRP functional expertise.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with globally diverse teams across multiple time zones.
Position criteria :
Understanding of the SIOP process steps: Forecast, Demand, Supply, Consensus, Executive.
Practical understanding of SIOP driven Materials Management including forecasting, scheduling, capacity analysis and inventory management.
Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and forecasting methods Understanding of best practices in demand analysis, production, and inventory planning.
Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal relationship building and team work skills.
Strong project management experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Ability to independently manage Materials and Operations projects.
Proactive, self-directed and action-oriented with strong decision making skills.
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent prioritization skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be able to interact with all levels of management.
Ability to lead team towards metrics based objectives.
