The Regional Compensation and Benefits Specialist is responsible to support and ensure Compensation & Benefits competitiveness with the objective to attract, retain, talented employees. Assist and support in Deploying Eaton’s Compensation & Benefits philosophy and strategy to 19 plants & 4 sales offices in Mexico.
This position is accountable to assist with the plan, and develop regional benefits and compensation programs, as well as the Wellness strategy for the region. Support and ensure implementation of Corporate C&B strategy while meeting local regulations and business needs. Acts as the expert point of contact resource regarding compensation and benefits policies and initiatives.
Assist to the C&B Manager to provides subject matter Compensation expertise & leadership across region, sectors, and business in matters related to C&B
Support the deploy and monitors merit cycle process and develop strategies to support business needs and people retention as well as salaries administration.
Coordinate compensation and benefits standardization and Vendor harmonization across business groups in the assigned region.
Support in Compensation and benefit benchmarking exercises to ensure competitiveness in the market place.
Assist and co-responsible country benefits such as: Pension plan, Sales incentives, Recognitions programs such as e-star, Seniority recognitions (OC Tanner), Employee Saving Fund, Food Coupons, Company Cars, Health and Life insurance, Optional Insurances (funeral, dental, personal cars insurances). Wellness, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Border Project, Expats, International & Domestic Mobility, Variable payment plan, EIC,
Job evaluations, job offers, salary surveys, data management and reporting, salary structures, Ensure the maintenance, audit and update of HRMS for Mexico C&B
Constantly follows up on regulatory and legal compliance issue related to employee compensation and benefits across region.
Partner with Regions, Businesses and Corporate client/functions to establish common C&B , communications, coordinated practices and tools.
Responsible for organizational structure definition and analysis through Eaton´s strategic goals and market trends and best practices alignment.
Supports on: Union negotiations providing market data & cost analysis for collective contract negotiations & Salary structure for Hourly employees..
Supports the design and implementation of salary ranges for Mexico & some Latin America countries.
Assist and support with Eaton’s acquisitions integration in topics related to C&B.
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related areas. (Desirable a master degree in HR ).
3 to 5 years of experience as a Country Compensation and Benefits Leader or Analyst.
English/Spanish fluently spoken.

Very good understanding of statistical methods in support of trend analysis and decision-making.
Requires ability to work independently and to provide consultative advice.
Be an effective communicator, who is comfortable in a high visibility position and who will act and empower for appropriate organizational change.
Excellent Management & Communication skills.
Negotiation skills to deal with C&B vendors.
Strong problem solving an analytical skills.
Knowledge in Local and Federal laws related to Compensation, Benefits and Retirement Plans administration.
Must manage Microsoft Office (Excel is essential).
Ability to work on complex calculations and to produce reports for senior management
Strong communication skills Spanish & English, ability to work with people at all levels.
- Expert with salary survey methodology (Hay, Towers Watson, Mercer or Hewitt).
