Position will be located in Baltimore, MD.

The position’s primary objective is to optimize sales volume, product mix and profit margin.

Manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance with distributors, customers, end users, specifiers, and Eaton’s Electrical Sector employees. Develop a proven record of achieving assigned sales quota. Develop and implement sales plans and be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities. Manage expense allowances and submit expense reports in a timely manner. Support total quality efforts by providing timely and accurate information for order entry, elevating quality issues to attention of management. Ensure that accurate information flows to and from customers. Implement new product programs as needed. Collect, analyze, and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences, and buying habits. Provide necessary reports requested by management in a timely manner.

Job Description Eaton's Electrical Sector - Power Distribution Operation Latin America and Caribbean Division has an opening for Senior Sales Engineer in Bogota, Colombia. Responsible for the sales of Eaton products in the Colombian Market to existing customers and identifies potential new customers. This position is responsible to plan, coordinate and execute the sales of components for the Colombia Atlantic Coast. The Senior Sales Engineer has responsibility to achieve an assigned sales quota consistent with expectations of a seasoned professional sales engineer in the Atlantic coast region for Electrical Assemblies, Controls and Components product category. This position has the primary responsibility to manage and coordinate the sales effort within the End Users, OEM customer and distributor channels assigned. The Sales Engineer will sell assigned product lines to targeted customers including focused customers in a targeted Market Area. Extensive knowledge of the Atlantic Coast Market area is a must for this opportunity. The position’s primary objective is to optimize sales volume, product mix and profit margin. Specific functions include: Drive increase in sales in the marketplace for the Atlantic Coast Region. Manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance within distributors, OEM customers, end users. Develop a proven record of achieving assigned sales quota. Develop and implement sales plans and be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities.
Develops technical proposals and assesses customer needs in order to recommend appropriate products. Customize products in order to meet client requirements. Provides technical support to clients after the sale of the product, troubleshoots technical problems. Provide technical training to customer’s staff. Recommends product improvements to design staff in response to customer feedback.
Also responsible for the development of new products from the generation of the product concept to the introduction to the market. Evaluates market potential application of new products. Coordinates the technical efforts for the design and production to test and develop new products applications and manages existing products. Define and implement product line short and long term strategies to optimize sales and profit in Colombia - Atlantic Coast Region. (Requires working closely with sales and marketing regional teams in Colombia, Peru and Venezuela and Eaton’s global product lines and plants to achieve results)
. Also responsible of:
a.Manage projects and delegate assignments to engineers; ensure assignments are being completed within quality expectations.
b.Monitor project progress and performance and direct necessary corrective actions, assuring project performance goals are attained.
c.Review technical and commercial conditions of purchase orders for projects submitted by the customer.
d.Review approval drawings for constructions of equipments manufactured by EATON plants.
e.Review purchase orders sent to the EATON plants and other providers for equipments or components than are part of the projects.
f.Monitor the construction of equipments manufactured by EATON plants and others providers.
g.Monitor transport and nationalization process from EATON plant to final destination.
h.Monitor the commissioning of equipments and training in their operation by the customer.
i.Receipt of request for quotation, review of specifications and selection equipments to elaborate the quotation.
j.Establish customer satisfaction and quality mindset throughout the organization
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) •Bachelor’s degree, major in electrical or electronic engineering.
•More than 5 to 7 years of related experience in project developments or similar role within the industry.

A. Prospecting and identifying new customers, new opportunities at existing customer within his sales area

This position for Eaton Fluid Power Ltd., to be based at New Delhi :

Job Description:

A.Responsible for identifying new customers, new opportunities at existing customer within his sales area.
B.Responsible for understanding specific customer requirements in terms of product specifications, quantity, delivery and providing the quotes.
D.Negotiate and convert the sales quotes to orders and release the sales orders for order entry and processing. Ensuring that the customer needs are fully communicated internally – technical specs, quantity, packaging &amp; delivery requirements etc.
E.Coordinate with Sales Planning and Forecasting function to ensure that his customer requirements are forecasted and planned for and orders executed per customer requirements. Will be required to track and provide early indication of changes in customer schedules, product mix and other requirements.
F.Ensure on time collection of payments as per agreed terms including Sales tax form , TDS deduction certificate collection etc
G.Track and report on market and customer level trends and competition activities.
I.Provide information for and participate in the customer sales plan development process. He will be the lead in executing and tracking these plans at his assigned customers.
J.Work with the Service Engineer in the area and the plant to timely close all customer field complaints and ensure that all actions taken and fully communicated within the customer’s organization.
K.Identify and work through the Platform Sales Manager and Sales Head to identify new product opportunities and lead the activities at the customer level. Identifying customer requirements of product specification, quantities, competitive offering etc will be a key role in this function.
L.Coordinate with the customer on new product prototyping and provide the internal linkages to Engineering , Plant and Supply Chain for the development process
M.Ensure communication and relationship building within the customer organization with support and guidance from the Platform Sales Manager and Sales Head. Will perform as the day to day first point of contact between the customer organization and Eaton Hydraulics Operations
N.Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect).

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
• Sound knowledge of Hydraulics products and technologies
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Strong verbal articulation, presentation and written communication skills.
• Familiar with applicable commercial laws and practices
• Capability to scan and obtain market intelligence – good networking skills
• Relationship skills with all levels and functions within the customers organization
• Able to take decisions and organize solutions independently. Strong organizing capability.

Besides sound technical capabilities this function calls for very high level of interpersonal skills, as it requires interfacing within the customer organization and internally. Strong communication skills are a must while ensuring the highest standards of ethics, integrity and credibility in all communications and personnel conduct. The primary function of this role is to identify, develop and close sales opportunities for the Hydraulics Systems Division product family.

DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:


A. Support the new business capture process for OEM &amp; Aftermarket Growth Platform opportunities as assigned by the Product Sales manager

B. Identify and develop new sales opportunities, upgrades, retrofits, and aftermarket campaigns working in conjunction with Regional Account Managers and Field Sales Teams for the Division

C. Develop win strategies through effective execution of Eaton’s value cycle tools and processes

D. Lead the sales capture team through the new business proposal development process and aftermarket campaigns for the Product Family

E. Present the Eaton Value Proposition to the customer ensuring that the sales capture team secures maximum value for Eaton on awarded programs

F. Ensure effective management of sales opportunities through each stage of the selling cycle; and identify decision makers, coaches, users, technical buyers, and potential blockers ensuring their needs are met

G. Improve customer satisfaction through effective deployment of Customer Survey tools and process; and support the interview process, and close resulting action items as assigned

H. Develop intake forecast and work with the momentum team to meet annual intake objectives are achieved

I. Increase aftermarket sales performance by supporting the field sales teams by providing the required leadership, tool kits, and campaign materials at the Division to bring upgrade and retrofit initiatives to market

J. Coordinate closely with the Division's technical community and utilize strong product line knowledge when interfacing the customer

K. Support the Eaton capture team process as assigned when working on key platform opportunities

L. Champion for Eaton standardized processes for excellence
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) - Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business from an accredited institution required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace or Military Defense industry required
- Must be able to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
