Quality Engineer Internship Placement
Location: Various UK locations
Our Quality Engineer Intern Placement Programme is first-class when it comes to giving placement students real insight into working in a large global manufacturing business whilst preparing you for a professional career.
Who we are:
We make what matters work. Eaton is a power management company with 2016 sales of $19.7 billion, with approximately 95,000 employees and selling products to customers in more than 175 countries. Within the UK we have numerous locations across the country operating within the Electrical, Hydraulic, Vehicle and Aerospace industries.
What you will get:
During the year placement you will gain invaluable experience working with a team of diverse employees. From day one you will be mentored by highly skilled Quality Engineering professionals who will guide and support you to ensure you receive the maximum from your placement.
Whilst on placement as a Quality Engineer Intern at Eaton, you will gain an understanding of many aspects of the Quality function such as how to use and create practices that directly impact how the products are manufactured on the shop floor. A big part of the Quality Engineer role is communicating and liaising with people from different departments in order to investigate and find solutions to problems as they arise during manufacture.
You will be involved with and have an impact on every single step in the engineering process from the drawing stage to the final shipping to our customers. You will work alongside teams throughout the manufacturing process to resolve quality issues and to improve the process as it continues.
In addition you will join an established programme alongside a cohort of interns from across the UK offering the opportunity to attend numerous training sessions and skills workshops.
Candidates should ideally be undergraduates working towards a minimum of a 2:1 and studying in a related discipline. Please provide your first year classification on your application. As our placements are based in multiple sites across the UK you must be geographically flexible. You must have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship and where appropriate comply with ITAR regulations.
Applications to be received by 22 December 2017 with Assessment Centres taking place in January and February 2018.
