Eaton Corporation Inventory Analyst in Ranjangaon, India

Schedules and coordinates the flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production. Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, materials, machines and equipment.

Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and cycle counting process for Eaton VGI Truck Operations by enforcing Inventory transaction process and analysis to optimize inventory levels to meet plant DOH targets. Need to perform following functions :

  • Inventory Analysis

  • Periodic inventory reports and inventory projections

  • In-plant inventory transactions

  • Work closely with Plant Stores / Warehouse and Logistics

  • Inventory valuation, costing and accuracy

  • Cycle counting

  • Physical Inventory

  • Intercompany coordination and Analysis

  • E&O

  • Close Co-ordination with Quality, Engg, Finance and other functions that impact inventory transactions

  • Work closely with Plant Stores / Warehouse and Logistics

  • Plan, create and manage cycle counting process as per VG policy

  • Ensure inventory accuracy in the system meeting plant inventory accuracy targets.

  • Participate on intercompany teams to ensure proper ISO’s forecast etc for intercompany demand.

  • Perform inventory analysis to ensure optimization of inventory levels and min-max levels.

  • Take complete ownership of planning and executing periodic physical inventory

  • Create and Publish periodic inventory reports

  • Interact with divisional and corporate inventory functions to ensure implements of corporate policy and reporting.

  • Perform root cause analysis

  • Develop and maintain a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and change.

  • Develop a strong communication system to get the organization engaged in meeting the goals.

  • Play key and active role in avoidance of E&O


  • Degree in science and MBA is a plus.

  • 3 -5 years experience in Material functions

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Communicates effectively with all management and production personnel, and can quickly and effectively build relationships at all levels. Must be able to effectively work in a matrix organization.

  • Experience in other areas like Lean/Six Sigma, Program Management would be added advantage.

  • Must have strong analytical skills

  • Ability to forge strong relationships at all levels in organization. Strong Team player.
