Job Description Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer, has an opening for a Quality Engineer at its Clutch assembly facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Quality Engineer reports directly to the Quality Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to perform Quality Engineering functions for the Charlotte facility and to direct the facility in the effort to develop, implement, and maintain world-class quality systems that ensure reduction in the cost of quality and that meet/exceed customer requirements.

• Lead structured team problem solving efforts to resolve internal/external issues using 8-D methodology.
• Drive Continuous Improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) utilizing Eaton Quality System (EQS) policies.
• Responsible for the implementation and deployment of actions to ensure compliance with TS 16949, customer specific requirements, and all regulatory requirements.
• Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals. Drive Continuous Improvement and Error Proofing through the implementation of six sigma/lean production methodology. Promote and verify preventive and corrective action.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and customer requirements.
• Deploy Control Plans &amp; other Quality Documents based on Customer Characteristics and Special Requirements.
• Responsible for the reduction of internal &amp; customer PPM, Rework Scrap and FPY.
• Responsible for SPC, MSA, Instrument Calibration, Gage and Master Design, Gage and Master Calibration.
• Lead PPAP activity, assist and provide quality support to APQP when relevant files and samples are being prepared
• Manage an intensive and robust audit program on critical areas to improve product quality.
• Develop, implement, maintain and report data from a plant-wide data collection program, including review of data collection methods and applicability of data to operator control.
• Manage any necessary containment and sort activities
• Provide quality training to instill a quality minded culture.


Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean concepts and process (Six Sigma Greenbelt, ASQ Certification)
• Knowledge of statistics and statistical process control, including gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
• Assembly processes and the flow of material through a plant.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications (GD&amp;T)
• Statistical Process Control (SPC), root cause analysis, problem solving methods, ISO/TS criteria, and EQS criteria.
• Knowledge of Metrology, (including CMM application and programming preferred)
• Automotive experience.
• Trained internal auditor (TS16949 or FEA)

Job Description The primary function of the Senior Quality Engineer is to provide leadership and guidance to cross functional work teams to promote process improvements that include preventive actions and corrective actions. The Senior Quality Engineer will lead and provide technical expertise in analytical/statistical tools and methods. Other primary responsibilities include developing systems based on understanding the customer that will create customer satisfaction through the use of product and process quality planning tools.
A. Completes quality engineering assignments with limited responsibility.
B. Acts as a quality liaison between internal and external customers to promote an environment of continual improvement.
C. Assures that products meet customer requirements internally and externally.
D. Responsible for the implementation and deployment of actions and processes to ensure compliance with varying quality systems to include EQS, ISO, and any other regulatory entities that might impact quality.
E. Using root cause problem solving techniques determine containment, root cause, corrective and preventive action solutions.
F. Define and develop process improvements to reduce and minimize cost of non-conformance (CONC).
G. Conduct and assist manufacturing engineering with process capability studies, process audits, and MSA to meet the requirements of EQS and promote continual improvement.
H. Interact with divisional personnel through exchange of technical information and data to support organizational success and learning.
I. Support all other engineers to include quality, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, and design with processes to protect the customer and the market shared.
J.  Provide leadership for Final and In-Process inspections necessary to ensure Quality products to customers. Drive error-proofing solutions at the source to address issues found during inspections.
K. Participate as a resource for Supplier Quality activities to support manufacturing quality and delivery initiatives.
L. Participate as quality representative and support mechanism for new product development, process development, and services.

Job Description Eaton Corporation located in Sumter, SC has an opening for a Mechanical Inspector - 2nd shift supporting Panelboard Assembly. Responsibilities of a Mechanical Inspector-Panelboards include, but are not limited to: Inspect Panelboards for adherence to specification and level of completion; install parts as required; complete Rework Notices as required; perform hi-pot testing as necessary; ensure adherence to UL 67; ensure adherence to special customer requirements (i.e. Chicago code, New York Transit Authority, etc.); perform testing (i.e. TVSS, Pow-R-Command, etc.); work in a team environment; utilize plant computer systems to obtain and/or validate information; train assembly associates in reading BOM's, drawings, work instructions, method sheets and other documentation as it relates to assembly products. This position will be responsible for visually inspecting Panelboards, conduct limited electrical tests, and perform limited component functional tests to verify acceptability of assembled PNBD products; essential job requirement is to protect the customer (field installation personnel as well as end users) from quality problems.

The Panelboard product is a customized offering requiring that each job be thoroughly examined to understand the unique requirements. This position requires the ability to make pass/fail decisions on a daily basis, based primarily upon visual inspection. Some decisions are subjective and may require incumbent to seek engineering expertise. Incumbent requires the ability to stand firm in the face of resistance to an unpopular decision. The inspector position is fast-paced at times and requires multi-tasking. The incumbent requires the ability to manage multiple jobs at various stages of completion. The position's pace is dictated by the production line speed, and therefore requires the incumbent to match pace.

There is high accountability associated with job performance; mistakes on the part of an inspector can lead to personal injury during product use. The incumbent requires the ability to work in an environment of high pressure and high expectations.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) -Minimum of 3 years experience in Panelboard and/or Switchboard Assembly
-Requires thorough knowledge of basic electricity, current flow, component functionality, and assembly processes on all lines. (HiPot and Shunt Trip Testing)
-Requires thorough knowledge of all assembled PNBD product designs
-Requires competency in applicable UL codes, NEC codes, regional utility codes, and customer-specific requirements.

Job Description Eaton Corporation located in Euclid, has an opening for a Quality Analyst. This position will be responsible for performing quality functions related to shipment and customer issues as well as providing auditing support of FSD-EUCLID Quality Systems to ensure compliance.

The selected candidate will perform the following duties:

• Communication both internally and externally regarding Eaton Industrial Corporation (EIC) quality issues.
• Serve as a DSQR (Designated Supplier Quality Representative) for selected customers in support of EIC shipments and compliance to contractual requirements.
• Serve as an FAA DMIR (Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative) in support of EIC shipments requiring 8130 certification as well as compliance to required Code of Federal Regulation requirements.
• Perform contract / purchase order review to identify customer requirements and to insure alignment to the EIC quality system. Maintain all documentation regarding contract review including all required compliance matrices.
• Monitor and lead any customer initiated corrective action request.
• Where applicable, initiate quality procedures to enhance EIC quality systems.
• Serve as the EIC Quality Assurance liaison to customers of responsibility, during visits and in other various communication media, (phone, web meetings, etc.).
• Participate in all required PROLaunch gate reviews; develop necessary documentation required for new pump programs which are transitioning from development into production.
• Support continuous improvement activities; including Lean initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities include:

A. Direct engagement with the Program Management function to develop and deploy Quality Assurance processes and practices within formally documented functional policies.

C. Job Description:

Roles &amp; Responsibility:
- This position is responsible for managing Supplier Quality and to ensure the quality of incoming products from suppliers.
- Also Responsible for QSA, Process Audits &amp; 8D analysis for problem solving for incoming materials. Including PPAP Activities with Suppliers.
- Identification and Assessment of Suppliers, Periodic QSA and Process audits to be conducted to develop best-in-class suppliers.
- Provide input on supplier DPPM report on monthly basis and work with suppliers to achieve zero DPPM. Regular reviews to monitor Suppliers Quality Performance &amp; drive Continuous improvements. Arrange monthly Quality Forum meetings for key suppliers.
- Attend day-to-day incoming Quality issues &amp; DMR from the production line and work with Plant Quality, Sourcing &amp; Procurement team to ensure problems are resolved &amp; production line is not affected.
- Conducts basic problem solving and root cause analysis activities in order to eliminate recurrence of non conformities, utilizing the known techniques /processes like 8D /QOS.
- Play key role along with Pant quality and ME team to ensure that Quality is built into the product &amp; process at suppliers end. Lead &amp; ensure that Quality tools like Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC, MSA is strictly practiced.

Moderate the Corrective Action Board. Provide resources in the research and response to customer complaints, rejections, requests for corrective action and rating systems.

Management responsibility for Quality System Compliance and Primary contact point for FAA regulatory compliance.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in technical field.
Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Manufacturing or Engineering area.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Position Criteria:
Knowledge of a wide range of problem solving tools &amp; methods, including statistics.
Knowledge of Product/Process and Quality System standards of the International Certification. Bodies, Industry specific Regulatory Authorities and Customer contractually specified Quality Requirements.
Product/Process quality planning
Knowledge of quality management systems and support practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
DMIR experience or DAR certification
Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement methodology
