Primary Function
• The Quality Assurance Tool Management Expert will manage the IT quality assurance tools and coordinate the infrastructure required for the tools in a centralized manner.
• The Tool Management Expert will establish tool administration processes.
• The Tool Management Expert will monitor overall tool utilization and demand for IT QA services and ensure that adequate licenses are maintained.
Essential Functions
Own Eaton IT’s enterprise wide licenses for IT QA Tools.
Manage tool licensing related issues such as numbers, validity, installation etc. and monitor the ELA
(Enterprise License Agreement)
Manage infrastructure for testing tools installation such as servers, storage space, network connectivity, back up/recovery processes etc.
Manage scheduled down times for tools upgrade, database and other infrastructure upgrade. Coordinates with vendor HP
Manage tools administration activities such as project creation and user creation.
Enable time sharing of functional automation and performance testing tools across Eaton’s project teams.
Manage/Support migration of projects from existing tool set to standard tool set.
Define processes and best practices for QA Tool administration. Actively participate in quality assurance process improvements
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) • Strong experience and capabilities in administering QA Tools (like HP QTP, PC, QC)
• Strong understanding of quality assurance tool administration processes.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure for QA Tools
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong communications and project management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Industry recognized Quality Assurance certification desired.
