Job Description:
EIEC has opening for a Sr. Engineer – Systems Integration in Aerospace Conveyance Systems division.
Primary Function
- Carry out design and routing of fluid conveyance products like ducts, tubes, hose assemblies, couplings, fittings etc. for aircraft fuel, hydraulic and pneumatic applications based on the system schematics.
Essential Functions
- Lead and champion the fluid conveyance installation design projects for timely completion ensuring meeting technical/quality objectives within the budget expenditure.
- Plan, direct and conduct design, design modification and development assignments involving a specific part of a large project or one or more small projects.
- Work with global teams as well as local teams leveraging their specialized skills in systems integration in a co-ordinated manner.
- Collaborate in determining requirements and scope of engineering projects and studies. Work with the Engineering leadership to determine manpower and facilities needed, and schedules required to fulfill an assignment.
- Determine design concepts and approaches. Resolve difficult problems with complicating factors.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate detailed phases of design assignments involving a group of engineering personnel. Perform design calculation and analysis, test and development follow up, etc. Provide guidance and instruction and check work to assure conformance to objectives and schedules.
- Consult with other activities to provide assistance on solution of difficult engineering problems requiring specialized knowledge and/or broad experience. Review and analyze problems and develop alternate engineering approaches. Use Six Sigma problem solving techniques to arrive at a solution.
- Prepare and/or review engineering proposals, performance specifications, and technical reports and papers related to project assignments.
- Carry out Quality check and validate the integrity and accuracy of outputs as per assigned program requirement.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Bachelor’s Degree in a Mechanical Engineering
Required Competencies:
- Good knowledge of aircraft structures, fuel and hydraulic systems.
- Precise and detailed oriented
- Ability to continually prioritize work within the company objective of supporting key customers.
- Initiative and a strong work ethic are necessary as much of the work is self-directed by nature
- Customer interfacing experience strongly desired
- Strong Communication Skills and professional presence.
Required Skill sets:
- Hand on experience in 3D modeling, creation of engineering drawings using CAD tools such as CATIA, Pro-E.
- Working knowledge of Analysis software CAEPipe is desired.
