Sales and Marketing Center (SMC) partners with multiple Eaton businesses across different geographies to deliver incremental value and drive growth by providing best in class solutions and practices through its five integral CoEs - Sales Analytics & Market Research [SAMR], Creative CoE, Customer Services [CS], Master Data Management [MDM] and Pricing CoE. This is a critical role supporting the manufacturing organization of the Hydraulics Americas region. This role provides analytical support to the regional manufacturing leadership team in areas such as finance, supply chain, quality, safety, as well as human resources. This role also functionally manages other analysts for Hydraulics Business who are supporting different stakeholders from finance, sales and marketing community. The incumbent also is expected to expand our analytical presence in Hydraulics business.

List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.

Develops analytical presence in Hydraulics Business for SMC and reviews, measures & tracks reports / performance of the other analysts supporting Hydraulics business. Functionally manages the work and day-to-day activities of the team of analysts. The incumbent is also responsible for developing and motivating the team of analysts.

  • Expands Analytical presence in Hydraulics Business

Develop the standard regional manufacturing operating review framework and drive analysis of financial and operational performance. Focusing not only on the overall higher level regional view but also on Division and Plant specific analysis as required. Identify areas of risk and opportunities associated with the operational arena (including: Safety, Quality, Delivery, CONC, Financial analysis, Warranty analysis) to review and work with the regional team to focus on key issues.

Create regional operating review deck on monthly basis for meeting with Regional Hydraulics Americas team. Also, support the necessary roll up of all Operating Review presentations while lead the development of the Operational portions of the Operating review presentations. Support the necessary assimilation of key data and analysis. Participate in the assimilation and tracking of Continuous Improvement events by plant, cost out by plant and division, CI and Cost Out rollup.

Support operational improvement activities in the area of manufacturing footprint analysis; supplier performance tracking, analysis, rollup, and rationalization activities in the region. Create framework / templates for consistent and focused review of key strategic priorities for the region. Participate in the strategic planning meetings as well as and drive the follow-ups. Support overall Operations team in consolidating regional Strategic Plan ensuring alignment and in conjunction with the Hyd Americas Strategic Plan development by the Sales OpEx and Planning team with respective functional leaders for review with Hydraulics HQ

Support profit plan sessions in the region. Create framework / templates for consistent and focused review. Support the Operational team consisting of Safety, Mfg, SCM, Mfg Finance, CI, & Quality to prepare for regional review. Participate in the profit plan meetings and drive the follow-ups. Support in consolidating regional profit plan along with respective functional leaders for review with Hydraulics HQ

Support on development key presentations for the region: SLT visits, customer meetings, target meetings, communication meeting, plant visits, conferences, etc.

Support market intelligence activities for the region. Support the tracking of key customers, competitors, segments, etc. and provide timely reporting to the Operations team relative to overall operations performance.

Support in developing market tracking framework which can be implemented in the region for regular updates on the market development. Consolidate regional market information on periodic basis and report as and when needed

Support growth opportunities, manufacturing technology studies, capacity and capability reviews, BOC & OCA as required.

Qualifications

Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) which your position requires

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, or management

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the field of business analysis / operations research

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Marketing / Finance / Operations

  • People management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication (written, verbal and presentation)

  • Strong problem solving capabilities and the capacity to deal with multiple cultures and their respective requirements

  • Must be effective working in a matrix organization and coping with numerous tasks and priorities
