In 2003, Eaton Corporation, USA embarked on a journey to set up a best in class engineering center in Pune – the Eaton India Engineering Center (EIEC). The center has completed its first phase of growth and has emerged as a major product engineering, design development center for Eaton’s global customers – primarily in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.
EIEC would like to invite applicants for Senior Engineer in Advanced Mechanical Systems.

Responsible to initiate and lead innovation programs; identify market opportunities, evaluate and develop new technologies, develop business cases, acquire resources and internal/external funding, lead customer relationships, present ideas and projects to Eaton business leaders and external customers. Profound technical knowledge and a potential for business acumen is required to be successful in this position.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Create innovative product concepts/prototypes based on breakthrough technologies for industrial, electrical, automotive, truck, and aerospace applications, as a technical lead and as a team member.
Identify, analyze, and validate advanced technologies in the areas of Power Train Engineering, Clean Power Solutions, modeling and optimization.
Lead technology development projects.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
PhD degree preferred, in Mechanical, Aerospace or related field, from top universities, with at least 3 years experience.
MS degree in related field with at least 5 years experience required, in similar innovation or R&D organizations from major MNCs.
Overseas experience (e.g., Degrees, exchange research program) highly preferred.

TECHNICAL:
Demonstrated profound expertise in at least two of the following areas: Internal combustion engines (diesel focus), Engine emissions, Alternative fuels and power systems, Powertrain, mechatronics and condition based monitoring.
Excellent understanding of Finite Element Analysis and MATLAB methods.
Strong background in Product Design in the relevant domains and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) expertise
Knowledge of experimental test procedures.
Strong technical publication and invention record.

PROFESSIONAL:
Proven track record in taking technologies from concepts to demonstrating product applications.
Program management experience.
Demonstrated tenacity and flexibility to reliably achieve goals.
Excellent English communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
Highly effective interpersonal skills.
