D. Safety - Promotes accident prevention fundamentals and processes to provide an accident- and injury-free workplace. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage the manufacturing activities, involving the production department, process department, maintenance department and project department, ensuring the full service of the goals plan, according to the customers necessity.
Ensure the technical and operational competitiveness of our plant, through the development and monitoring of specific actions of cost reduction.
Act in optimize the production process, seeking to continuous improvement.
Develop and monitor the production processes, ensuring the quality aspects, performance and efficiency rules, guiding and seeking to continuous improvement, as Eaton standard rules.
Answer by analysis and approval of activities and processes of production support areas, ensuring the production flow appropriated.
Define and guide the production goals, through periodic meetings, allocation of technical and human resource, ensuring the achievement of objectives and general satisfaction of customers.
Drive and manage the administrative and operational activities of the Company, applying the policies, guidelines and corporate strategies, and also establish and provide support to achieve the strategic goals.
Ensure the implementation, compliance and achievement of security, quality and environment management policies, through the systematic monitoring of the evolution of different levels the organization.

The main responsibilities for this position will be to manage and direct Fabrication Operations to produce and ship product to internal and external customers at a minimum cost in accordance with engineering design specifications, strong customer service, and quality/safety objectives.

* Ensure production requirements are analyzed and work assigned, based on capacity and capability of employees and processes, to achieve production schedule and departmental objectives.

Job Description This position is on THIRD SHIFT (11pm - 7am). Must have availability to work these hours.

Manage the production operations budget for the cost of labor. Track and manage production levels and deliveries to plan. Proactively manage scrap and rework. Manage environment and training to eliminate hazards and accidents. Maintain morale to ensure positive employee relations. Supervise and direct indirect employees.

• Manage the daily activities of all employees. Maintain adequate metrics to ensure levels of performance are known and improved upon.
• Ensure that adequate equipment is available and implemented safely so as to adequately and efficiently conduct business.
• Implement and enforce all policies, practices, and benefits and employ effective leadership techniques and employee relation’s activities to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all people working at the facility.
• Identify and implement methods and practices to achieve steady improvement in efficiency, quality, service and continuous improvement in operating profits.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and key intra-company people to effectively manage the operation for best results.
• Ensure through training and daily audits that safe practices are constantly employed throughout the facility.
• Regularly communicate and demonstrate the Eaton best practices, ethics, values and philosophy such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization.
• Coach and counsel employees as necessary.
• Manage the performance of direct reports.
• Develops, motivates and coaches team members; acts as an employee advocate and interviews potential new hires.
• Promotes customer satisfaction.
• Ensures all functional areas have accurate, timely information.
• Actively participates in cross-functional company-wide teams to assist in driving quality improvements, process improvements, business system enhancements and process standardization
• Reviews order exception reports to identify root cause and takes appropriate corrective action
• Assists in the creation of training plans and programs, and promotes cross-training opportunities
• Fosters an environment which promotes Eaton’s goals and philosophy, encourages continuous improvement and builds customer relationships.

Manage measurable statistics in one or more of the following:
Safety
People
Quality
Delivery
Cost-Out
QOS participation
APEX participation
Manage 25-35 direct reports (operators)
Customer Satisfaction
Employee Satisfaction, including employee retention

Ensure all regulatory standards and company policies are understood, supported and followed in the shopfloor and enforce strict adherence to safety absolutes to ensure a safe working environment.
Drive continuous improvement in production operation through application of ELS tools and leading kaizen teams.
Prepare and evaluate reports pertaining to production operation.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Diploma in manufacturing discipline / business studies.(Experience might replace this requirement)

Minimum 3 years in a supervisory position in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.

Proficient in MS Office Applications.

Knowledge of MFG-Pro is an advantage.

Willingness to work on 12 hours shift.
