Eaton Corporation Associate Engineer - Supplier Development in Pimpri Pune, India

  1. Review of Supplier corrective report (8D report) and identify the gaps against requirements.

    1. Initiate and close Corrective Actions and to ensure that root causes have been properly identified and eliminated.

    2. Manufacturing knowledge of casting, Forging, machining, stampings, Gears, Splines, plastic & fasteners etc.

    3. On time closure of customer complaints with effective review of 8D reports.

    4. Work as a co- coordinator between suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify requirements, eliminate confusion, and improve definition of requirements.

    5. Capture improvements, work on BPI, CI, and Kaizen.

    6. Monitor & communicate suppliers DPPM and reduction in defect occurrences.

    7. Understand customer requirement and quick turnaround time on adhoc requests.

    8. Ensures adherence to standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.

    9. Depth knowledge of 7 QC Tools and problem solving.

    10. Assist in supplier development activities to improve in quality performance improvements.

    11. Provide Support to supplier quality assessments of suppliers for sourcing and annual re-assessment activities.

    12. Administrate SSA (Supplier Site Assessment) process, identify the gap analysis and close the corrective actions for identified items in supplier assessment.

    13. Work closely with Suppliers, Eaton manufacturing plant, engineering, and supply chain organization to close the DMR (Defective Material Report) in process oriented root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions implementation.

    14. Knowledge of AS-9100 preferredQualifications1.BE in (Mechanical , Production & Industrial Engineering ) with 3-6 years’ experience in, Manufacturing / or Process Engineering ,Supplier Development Engineering (Manufacturing experience)

2.Good communication skills - Must speak and write English fluently.

3.Experience in working with global customers & suppliers.

4.Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and project management skills and applications , knowledge of APQP process .

  1. Good collaboration skill.

  2. Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis.

  3. Flexible attitude to work with the willingness to learn new skills when required.

  4. Depth knowledge of 7 QC Tools and problem solving.

8 .Experience in managing or supporting ISO 9000 docs
