Eaton Corporation EHS Technician- 1st Shift in Pewaukee, Wisconsin

Eaton in Pewaukee, WI has a 1st shift opening for an EHS Technician.

The primary function of this position is to provide ongoing administrative, technical and tactical support to the Environmental Health & Safety department in the Pewaukee, WI facility to help drive 100% completion and compliance in all aspects of EHS and driving our Zero Incident Safety Culture.

  • Conduct EHS site safety orientation training as needed for visitors, contractors, temporary employees and new employees

  • Conduct routine EHS inspections as directed by the EHS team members

  • Maintaining record keeping documentation for EHS related topics

  • Assist with development and execution of MESH related training programs

  • Work with internal maintenance, engineering teams and outside contractors to ensure project safety

  • Assist with managing the MESH program category and element champions

  • Collect, organize and analyze EHS related data as appropriate

  • Assist with special events such as set up and coordinate meetings and training

  • Manage maintenance of the EHS organization documentation

  • Develop skills needed to enter MESH Prism and SAP

  • Assist EHS Team by facilitating/assisting Pewaukee, WI Safety teams in achieving continuous improvement in safety through Kaizen events, 5 WHY meetings and Safety GEMBA Walks.

  • Help with the monitoring and reinforcement all MESH and OSHA requirements


Basic Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required from an accredited institution

  • The ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship is required

  • No relocation provided. Must reside within 50 miles of work location in order to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree preferred

  • 2 years of experience using Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Experience in manufacturing

  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and disposal methods

  • Prior experience or education with an emphasis in environmental, health and safety program management and employee training

  • Comprehension of industry, state, and country EHS requirements.
