Eaton Corporation's Meters &amp; Relays Business Unit, located in Moon Township, PA has an opening for a Micro Processor Protective Relay Chief Engineer, reporting to the Business Unit Engineering Manager located in Pittsburgh, PA.

The primary function of this position includes but is not limited to: proactively guide the protective relay product strategy and roadmap to ensure Eaton is positioned as a technology leader in the electrical power systems industry. The Chief Engineer will work collaboratively with the product line team leveraging industry and systems expertise.

The Chief Engineer will be working at high levels within various Industry committees including IEEE and leveraging research being done at top universities.

Principle Areas of Responsibilities
1.  Position Eaton as the “thought leaders” in the area of Protective Relays by writing white papers, participating &amp; presenting in IEEE conferences and joining standards committees.
2. Directly connect Eaton to Utilities &amp; Industrial Users through consultative application support.
3. Work with product line team using expertise, customer connections and industry knowledge to drive differentiated product road maps.
4. Work with MRBU peers, assemblies divisions, and services to provide customer specific solutions focused on eliminating known and unknown customer problems.
5. Drive and develop training curriculum around protective relays.
6. Work with PXAE’s, NAS AE’s &amp; segment leaders to ensure Eaton is specified in major projects.
7. Act as the BU’s application contact for all EPC activity.
8. Act as tier 4 level application support for the BU.

Additional Requirements and Expectations to Meet Responsibilities
1. Act as internal consultant to product line.
2. Lead the strategic planning process for protection.
3. Help triple the BU’s sales.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer certification and IEEE committee participation is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required.
- A PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred

The primary purpose of the PSA Field Engineer is to provide on-site implementation of Power Management and mission critical monitoring and control systems including Power Xpert, Foreseer, PowerNet, and next generation Power Monitoring platforms. This role is also responsible for the assessing mobile technology, staying current with emerging trends and providing recommendations on Mobile technology, tools, applications and processes.  The Functional Analyst will work with project teams and IT staff to support the entire systems lifecycle.

Additionally, the functional analyst will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of Program artifacts that define the standard features and methodology to deploying Mobile program applications. These artifacts include Program Playbooks, Roadmaps and status reports.

Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Manager, Project Management to support the Electrical Components Operations (ECO) Organization.

This position can be located in either of the following locations:

Moon Township, PA

Milwaukee, WI

This position will report directly to the ECO Director of Engineering.

The primary function is to apply and drive best project management practices across ECO while managing a team of Project Management Professionals who lead ECO’s key projects (one Certified PMP for the major ECO product lines). Area of focus will be new product development projects and programs.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

A. Advanced understanding and demonstration of project management methodology and associated tools.

B. Applies of state of the art Project and Portfolio Management practices and tools
(project start-ups, project planning, execution &amp; tracking, etc.).

C. Leads key / major ECO projects

D. Ensures proper PROLaunch execution including proper DFSS application

E. Provides input and improvements to Eaton’s project execution processes (PROLaunch, DFSS, Project Reviews, etc.)

F. Leads major project reporting sessions (Projects and Peer Reviews, divisional reviews, etc.)

G. Manages direct reports, conducts performance reviews, administers merit plan, oversees reward and recognition, and sets goals and development plans with direct reports.

H. Fosters, forms and manages truly cross functional project teams

I. Manages project resource across ECO: Promotes cross divisional resource exchange &amp; utilization regardless of division / BU

J. Owns ECO’s NPD Portfolio Management &amp; Prioritization process

K. Leads ECO’s Portfolio council. Works with members (ECO Director Engineering, Divisions’ Engineering Sr. Engineering Managers) in a manner that optimizes the ROI from the portfolio of projects and ensures alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.

L. Communicates effectively and works closely with all levels of the organization, especially senior leadership to understand business priorities, processes, strategic objectives, and time/cost constraints.

M. Captures and communicates lessons learned from current / past projects.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Business, or Project Management from an accredited institution required
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in new product development is required
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing people
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

Position Criteria:
Experience in leading large cross-functional teams as part of development projects or programs
• Experience in developing, implementing and improving project and portfolio reports and tracking metrics
• Good understanding of industrial and/or electrical components (breaker, contactors, drives, etc) product lines
• Proficiency in managing people and resources to meet project accomplishments on schedule
• Good cross-boundary perspective to communicate and coordinate with other product line-engineering mangers, plant managers and marketing managers
• Good, effective communication skills
• Strong leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters degree in Project Management (MPM) preferred

Eaton's facility located in Glenolden, PA (Delaware County) just minutes from the Philadelphia Airport has an opening for an Electrical Engineering Manager.

The primary function of this position is:

Provide leadership and guidance for electrical design team and qualification laboratory on new development programs for aircraft electrical equipment from inception to certification and transfer to production.

Position Criteria:

Direct and distribute the electrical engineering and laboratory work activities in the area of design, product &amp; process improvements, manufacturability, and analyzing technology trends.

Review customer specifications and determine compliance to requirements and/or note exceptions. Review project-related documentation to insure its accuracy.

Conduct/review engineering analysis and documentation in accordance with DFSS (Design For Six Sigma) tools to fulfill Eaton’s PROLaunch requirements.

Work with customers, suppliers, program managers and other engineering disciplines to optimize designs and identify cost trade-offs.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

8+ years of experience in design and development of electronic products with and/or digital circuit design experience.

4+ years of demonstrated experience in an engineering supervisory / management / leadership capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Timeliness of estimates and reports for engineering projects.

Strong communication skills with emphasis on technical writing and presentation.
