Eaton Corporation Materials Manager in Peachtree City, Georgia

Eaton’s Electrical Products Group is seeking a Materials Manager for its Lighting Division. The Materials Manager will be located at Eaton’s Peachtree City, GA facility.

Position Overview :

The Materials Manager is responsible for controlling all finished goods, WIP and components inventory to meet customer requirements.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Build robust processes to manage customer past dues and on-time-delivery in accordance with customer requirements and internal metrics.

  • Drive weekly meetings with key suppliers reviewing open orders, expedites, and continuously work to improve cost position for the business through negotiations or re-sourcing of components.

  • Manage inventory to meet budgeted turns and DOH.

  • Material Manager with have a indirect report, buyer, and manage their day to day purchasing, planning and prioritization.

  • Escalate issues and work collectively with the Sourcing team to identify and resolve vendor and supply-chain issues. Consolidate supply base into Eaton’s ASL.

  • Create and maintain Supply Chain Analysis for New Product Development, product transitions, as well as product transfers into the facility.

  • Evaluate ongoing planning parameters and supply strategies to ensure operational excellence.

  • Set up Vendor and Material Masters for New Product Development, transitions, and transfers.

  • Ensure solid understanding of supplier’s capacity/load and adjust accordingly.

  • Coordinate with the Forecasting team to validate supply-chain strategies and planning parameters.

  • Schedule and manage orders and ensure delivery schedules are met, advise customer service of any issues with orders and inform customer of pertinent shipping information.

  • Establish Stocking programs using reorder points, min/max inventory levels, kanbans, and stocking programs.

  • Advise internal customers of any issues with orders and/or pertinent shipping information. Utilizing C360.

  • Manage cycle count program, receiving process, and inventory accuracy in the facility.

  • Manage the expedite process giving prompt feedback to customer service, must be customer focused.

  • Manage MRBR, GR/IR to ensure vendors are getting paid timely and taking advantage of discounted payment terms.


Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  • No relocation assistance is being offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Peachtree City.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Supply Chain or related field from an accredited institution.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • 5 years of Supply Chain experience within a manufacturing or warehousing environment.

  • Master Scheduling experience.

  • Demand Planning experience.

  • Purchasing & Planning experience with SAP.

  • Proficient with MS Office.

  • WMS experience.

  • APICS certification(s).
