Eaton’s Filtration India operates in manufacturing filtration products that include automatic self-cleaning and fabricated pipeline strainers, mechanically cleaned filters and strainers, bag and cartridge filtration systems, and gas liquid separators for industrial customers worldwide. Filtration business has led the way with technology that meets the growing and rigorous demands of vital industrial sectors.

A. Prospecting and identifying new customers, new opportunities at existing customer within his sales area
B. Understanding specific customer requirements in terms of product specifications, quantity, delivery to feed back within the organization to plan for meeting.
C. Receiving customer RFQs and providing sales quotes after fully understanding the requirements and matching with company’s offerings and order books/ delivery lead times
D. Negotiate and convert the sales quotes to orders and release the sales orders for order entry and processing. Ensuring that the customer needs are fully communicated internally – technical specs, quantity, packaging & delivery requirements etc.
E. Will coordinate with Sales Planning and Forecasting function to ensure that his customer requirements are forecasted and planned for and orders executed per customer requirements. Will be required to track and provide early indication of changes in customer schedules, product mix and other requirements.
F. Will ensure on time collection of payments as per agreed terms including Sales tax form , TDS deduction certificate collection etc
G. Will track and report on market and customer level trends and competition activities.
H. Will provide information for and participate in the customer sales plan development process. He will be the lead in executing and tracking these plans at his assigned customers.
I. Will work with the Service Engineer in the area and the plant to timely close all customer field complaints and ensure that all actions taken and fully communicated within the customer’s organization.
J. Will identify and work through the Platform Sales Manager and Sales Head to identify new product opportunities and lead the activities at the customer level. Identifying customer requirements of product specification, quantities, competitive offering etc will be a key role in this function.
K. Will coordinate with the customer on new product prototyping and provide the internal linkages to Engineering , Plant and Supply Chain for the development process
L. Shall ensure communication and relationship building within the customer organization with support and guidance from the Platform Sales Manager and Sales Head. Will perform as the day to day first point of contact between the customer organization and Eaton Hydraulics Operations
M. Will be the Brand Ambassador in the customer’s organization – his conduct in all respect will be absolutely critical in this respect. Must demonstrate the highest standards of ethics, integrality, credibility and technical capabilities with a very sharp focus on Customer Centricity”.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) • Sound knowledge of Hydraulics products and technologies
• Engineering graduate with understanding of customer application requirements
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Strong verbal articulation, presentation and written communication skills.
• Familiar with applicable commercial laws and practices
• Capability to scan and obtain market intelligence – good networking skills
• Relationship skills with all levels and functions within the customers organization
• Able to take decisions and organize solutions independently. Strong organizing capability

Besides sound technical capabilities this function calls for very high level of interpersonal skills, as it requires interfacing within the customer organization and internally. Strong communication skills are a must while ensuring the highest standards of ethics, integrity and credibility in all communications and personnel conduct. Should have good social skills to build and sustain relations while maintaining ethical standards.
