Eaton Corporation Distribution Center Operations Analyst in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton has an opening for a Distribution Center Operations Analyst. This position can be located in Moon Township, PA or Cleveland, OH.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for the support, training, root cause analysis, Continuous Improvement strategy and analytics surrounding the DC Infrastructure and Analytics. The position will work heavily with Operation leaders, Functional Leaders and Business/Regional SC Leaders in order to successfully execute projects. These roles would be the focused on the execution of improvements within the four walls of the DC network. As the DCs do not have Opex or CI roles these roles would function as the “feet on the floor” within the facilities driving the improvement efforts. Additionally as many of these improvements, the team would work closely with Manufacturing to provide transferable learnings.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Selection of and implementation of a common Warehouse Management System portfolio (WMS), the WMS health assessments, the implementation and execution of the Slotting Tool – Warehouse Vision, and support the role out of the Transportation Management Systems within the DC sites.

  • The focus will primarily be based on internal flow of materials within the four walls of the site and may include additional areas of focus on packaging, logistics, inventory management and ERP systems management. Furthermore, the role will be responsible for standardizing work procedures for slotting programs and implementing tools at site level. This position also focuses on continuous improvement and assignment goals may be adjusted based on current business priorities.

  • Manage projects in order to execute identified projects associated with ES manufacturing strategy; potential projects associated with manufacturing strategy could be associated with product line location transfer, distribution footprint rationalization, outsourcing, or new facility construction.

  • Coordinate with identified key stakeholders in order to develop action plans in order to mitigate identified risks.

  • Recommend project/program plans to local site management and regional/divisional operations leaders, manage and develop strategies, plans and reports that keep stakeholders updated through-out project.

  • Routinely and on demand, keep senior DCL & Operations ES management appraised of the progress of the program/project, giving them a sense of accomplishments and areas for concern.

  • Anticipate issues and develop alternatives and mitigation plans to ensure the pilot, replication tools and rollout remains on target.

  • Measure, monitor, provide input, and report metrics of progress on individual programs/projects.

  • Set the pace for implementation that is consistent with the expectations of management.

  • Create and manage a knowledge management infrastructure that captures key learnings and experiences of the process and make them available to the Corporation.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Distribution Operations.

  • Minimum of 5 years in Managing DC logistics.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain experience.

  • Lean/Six Sigma experience, Black Belt Certification.

  • Experience implementing Warehouse Management systems.

  • Train the Trainer experience.
