Job Description Reports to the General Manager, and is responsible for the location Sales and Technical activities, including Sales, product and pricing strategy, direct and distributor sales, Hydraulic Centers’ Inventory and customer Service Management, forecasting, customer training and support.

Main objectives:

Ensure maximum practical and profitable penetration of Eaton’s product line.

1. Plan, organize, develop and administer the sales function for the division, including directing through subordinate supervision, the activities of assigned personnel in such areas as sales, forecasting, market research and analysis, TSG, advertising and sales promotion, etc. Train, counsel and motivate personnel. Assign accountabilities, responsibilities, and specific tasks, and review accomplishment thereof.

2. Develop sales plans for new products, review new product programs, administer and monitor phase out programs, and administer pricing programs and strategies that include action necessary to assure acceptable divisional contribution margins.

3. Establish sales forecasts in consultation with superior and other members of sales management, considering Corporate and Division goals, market research studies, field sales reports, pricing strategies and industry trends.

4. Plan and administer short and long range sales programs. Guide the organization and development of supporting plans and devices, including the advertising campaigns, customer surveys, training programs, sales aids, promotional materials, specific selling techniques, and the like.

5. Handle or closely supervise sales efforts with major accounts as required.
Oversee sales activities, including reviewing and recommending selection of new distributors.

1. Resolve major problems with distributors. Represent facility sales negotiations involving government and international sales contracts.

2. Provide planning, organization and/or liaison to satisfy market needs for after sales service; including field servicing, training of distributor service organizations and service publications.

Broaden the sales base and promote new products compatible with Company plans by organizing the means for identifying, quantifying, and pursuing optimum profitable opportunities for product and market development programs.

Develop departmental budgets, review performance thereto, and initiate appropriate action to correct unsatisfactory performance.

Through subordinates, establish, develop, maintain and an effective, well trained and adequately resourced EFP Centre structure, capable of implementing company strategies and objectives and maximizing all business opportunities

Through subordinates, maintain an effective and highly responsive TSG function focused on delivering competitive and technically sound systems design, high quality and on time delivery of fabricated units and superior technical support to internal and external customers.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Formal engineering or business administration academic background. Extensive knowledge of general business practices, Company sales policies and procedures, division and company products and personnel motivation concepts and techniques.

Minimum of five years sales management experience.

Human relations skills and administrative ability to work effectively with customer personnel as well as clerical and direct sales staff.
