Eaton Corporation Financial Accountant in Mascot, Australia

Position Overview

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is instrumental in ensuring data integrity of the General Ledger and continuous improvements within the business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end process, ensuring integrity of P&L and BS USGAAP compliance

  • Manage accruals and revenue recognition

  • Conduct monthly financial management reporting and in-depth variance analysis

  • Prepare cost analysis and journal entries

  • Perform margin analysis for product and project sales

  • Take ownership of statutory reporting requirements and local tax, FBT, BAS, Payroll Tax

  • Assist in monthly rolling forecast preparation

  • Implement and administer effective financial policies and corporate procedures

  • Prepare continuous improvement initiatives and internal control processes (SOX)

  • Manage shared service center activities for GL, AP, Capex and month-end closing

  • Assist with Product Costing and Inventory Management

  • Support internal and external audit engagements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA/CA Qualified Accountant)

  • 4 years' experience in a manufacturing or related environment

  • Experience with US GAAP, SOX, IFRS

  • Experience in a Multinational Corporation

  • Experience with any ERP system

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in Inventory Accounting

  • Experience in Marginal Analysis

  • Business Partnering Skills
