Eaton Corporation Field Applications Engineer in Leicestershire, United Kingdom
This role sits within our Marketing function, requiring close interaction with Sales, Product Management and Engineering. The incumbent will develop technical knowledge of fuse and switching products and be responsible for providing technical support direct to customers and through sales channels to assist with the selection of suitable fuse and switch solutions. Our aim is to offer industry leading technical advice to our customers.
Essential functions of this role are:
Giving technical advice to customers and developing an understanding of their specific application requirements
Developing and delivering training packages to customers and internal stakeholders
Interpret and contribute technical data to tender documents
Research trends within the electrical industry and identify opportunities to develop and market new products
Support and develop projects and promotional activities to strengthen market position
Build and maintain cross functional relationships
In order to be successful in this role the incumbent must:
Have a degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrable equivalent experience
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Previous experience in a field engineering role would be desirable but not essential as would a second European language
Be willing to travel 25% of the time within the UK and Europe
