Eaton Corporation Senior Domestic Sales Engineer in JP-City, Japan

Responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans within an assigned sales territory and/or account. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and/or services and maintaining effective agreements.

  • Obtain orders for existing products and new products to meet or exceed assigned quotas.

  • Create a demand (specifications) for Crouse-Hinds MTL products with potential and assigned accounts classified as: industrial, EPC, OEMs, DCS, Panel vendor, system integrators, distributors etc.

  • Plan and allocate time for sales activities with each distributor, major account, and to each major project, in an assigned territory or on assigned accounts based on sales potential.

  • Maintain adequate records to control selling activities, expenses, and to insure proper care of all Eaton property assigned.

  • Work closely with Product Manager to develop customer–orientated products in application and solution including be familiar with competitor’s products and prices, and continuously increase knowledge of MTL products and their application advantages to customer needs.

  • Conduct user investigations, train, provide support to MTL Sales teams and focused distributors

  • Help to integrate the product launches.

  • Have specific targets for sales, training, and key customer development.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with major distributor partners

  • Implement major growth programs with channel partners.

  • Execute and share gains resulting from strategic growth initiatives at major end user customer base. And, develop sales plans, activities, and campaigns. Plus, implement the organization’s overall sales strategy in Japan.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • 10 years sales and marketing experience with an international brand an ambition to lead people as a potential career expansion.

  • Prior budget and financial accountability experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor of science degree in Engineering (BA/BS) is required.

  • Fluent communication in Bilingual (English/Japanese).

  • In-depth knowledge of instrument and automation application, sales, marketing, management and customer relations fields.

  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Strong organizational planning skills and time management skills.

  • Must have exemplary customer service skills.
