Job Description Eaton Corporation’s Hydraulic Systems Division of Eaton Aerospace, has an opening for a Production Manager. This role reports to the Operations Manager and is directly responsible for all second shift operations including master production scheduling, shop floor planning and flow, inventory control, material handling, and systems information flow. Indirectly responsible for customer service management and order management processes.
The following items are critical for success in this role:
• Develop and implement Material Planning System to meet customer needs while managing capacity constraints.
• Improve book to ship process, and increase robustness of internal and external customer communication process.
• Lead and direct the material planning team to balance part needs as driven by MRP and shop floor capacity.
• Improve automated processes to minimize short lead time order placement.
• Improve velocity of material moving through the plants receiving, stock room, kitpack and shipping departments.
• Lead, manage, and develop salary and hourly staff.
• This role is responsible for the following key measures: Daily clearances, work-in-process, order date accuracy, internal booked to ship TAT, customer on-time-delivery, material velocity through the plant, and employee engagement to name a few.
• Work with process improvement teams to share best practices and coordinate cross-site, multi-functional objectives.
Strong preference will be given to applicants who display the following:
• Thorough knowledge of Aerospace industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and MFG Pro a plus.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization (customers, marketing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing) is key.
• Desire to work in a collaborative environment with strong ability to take action and get results.
• Ability to quickly analyze, identify and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement that have measurable dollar impact each year. Change management skills a plus.
• Strong influencing, negotiation, coaching and consulting skills.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or Industrial) or Business from an accredited institution is required
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in manufacturing environment is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing people is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
