Job Description Eaton Corporation in Jackson, Michigan is searching for a Senior Engineering Manager for the Aerospace - Conveyance Systems Division (CSD).

This senior engineering leadership position is responsible for global fuel and hydraulic research and technology development, designing new products and commercialized solutions to support customers’ technical requirements, and developing product line extensions across geographically-dispersed manufacturing sites for the Conveyance Systems Division.

The essential functions of this position are:

? Drive predictive performance on global CSD fuel and hydraulic conveyance product and technology development activities utilizing Eaton Business System (EBS) tools and processes.

? Lead execution of robust Next-Generation PROLaunch design processes and continuous improvement/design efficiency initiatives (i.e. DFSS/DFR) across the global CSD fuel and hydraulic engineering and technology function.

? Lead development and execution of strategic planning initiatives, allocation of engineering resources, and technology roadmaps across the global CSD fuel and hydraulic engineering and technology function.

? Drive internal/external innovation activities across the global CSD fuel and hydraulic engineering and technology function, including Intellectual Property (IP) management.

? Develop distributed design organizational capability for the global CSD fuel and hydraulic engineering and technology function at the Eaton India Engineering Center (EIEC) in Pune, India and in Shanghai, China.

? Develop professional relationships with fuel and hydraulic conveyance product customers for developing new product requirements, major modifications of existing products, prototype qualification test requirements, and resolve product performance deficiencies.

? Provide status on technical accomplishments/ issues across global CSD fuel and hydraulic conveyance product and technology development programs to the CSD engineering leadership team (CSDELT).

? Maintain liaison with the operating organization to ensure high-quality product integrity and year-over-year manufacturing cost reductions.

? Lead profit planning efforts across the global CSD fuel and hydraulic engineering and technology function and manage multiple site and activity center budgets throughout the follow on period of performance and deliver profit plan forecast and other financial expectations.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.

- 10 years of experience in new product development

- Experience conducting competitive analyses and defining/executing business level strategy.

- Must be prequalified to work on defense projects, per the state department ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree.

- Ieally has experience engaging with external research/IRAD funding organizations.

- Demonstrated leadership skills, experience with design processes, portfolio and program management skills, knowledge of customer strategies, successful new product introduction experience, creative/innovative thinking.

- Proven track record of driving change and ability to develop and execute technology development plans.
