Eaton Corporation Panelboard Customer Service Representative in Hanover, Maryland

Eaton in Hanover, MD has an opening for a Panelboard Customer Service Representative. This position reports to the site Business Operations Manager, the Panelboard CSR serves as the product-specific primary point of contact at Satellite/Service Center location for all external customers, internal customers and Field Sales. Establish and maintain highly effective customer service relations with internal and external customers in support of plant objectives.

  • Responsible for pricing quotes/quoting projects on all respective product line orders, enclosed breakers, and other miscellaneous products. Enforce the established price band structure/ranges, lead times and exceptions for quotations for all orders for these products without general oversight.

  • Enforce established premium price levels for expedited shipping requests

  • Set schedule for product lines order building/processing. Coordinate schedule with production capacity. Consult with Production Associates and shipping department on daily basis to ensure products ship as scheduled.

  • Exercise discretion to reschedule jobs/orders as needed based on changing business conditions

  • May select vendors for supplies, sub-assemblies, etc. for product lines

  • Make daily decisions on whether location will build an order or transfer it to another location

  • Process incoming orders, generate purchase orders as needed, and prepare manufacturing instructions for the shop floor

  • Review jobs to identify and order Advanced Purchased items

  • Manage all order expedites and changes for all Satellite/Service Center products

  • Supports Vista/AS400 order entry and shipment reconciliation process as needed for the location

  • Proactively seek ways to improve overall plant performance to promote an environment of continuous improvement and teamwork

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a customer service / inside sales role

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area will be considered. You will not be considered for this position if you do not reside within 50 miles of the Hanover, MD location.

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational & time management/prioritization skills

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to interact in a small team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (sales, inventory, production)

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in Satellite/Service Center product lines

  • Inside sales and negotiation experience

  • Basic knowledge of electricity

  • Basic understanding of blueprints/schematics

  • Proficient knowledge of Bid Manager and AS400
