Eaton Electric Sp.z o.o. located in Gdansk has opening for EHS Specialist covering Polish Electrical Sector. Person in this position will have following job duties:
Completing all entrusted assignments in compliance with the Polish Environmental Law regulations as well as occupational health and safety standards including tasks for occupational health and safety service.
Reporting and managing new Polish Law requirements/regulations implementation.
Managing interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse
findings and enforcement actions.
Conducting all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) training programs required by the Polish law and Eaton EHS Program.
Supporting site in achieving EHS targets & objectives in terms of development and maintenance, to back up goals achievement in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
Cooporating with leadership team to create targets and objectives to reduce risk and enviromental impact.
Implementing Eaton MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) utilization MESH tools to drive improvements.
Performing risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS aspects and potential hazards.
Tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to monitor/oversee EHS performance.
Managing the completion of EHS goals assigned to the site manager as well as the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to build, establish and maintain EHS culture, compliance, and results.
Supporting and promoting activities and procedures for zero incident EHS culture on site.
Supporting EHS engagement in cooperation with EHS teams and committees responsible for meeting targets and objectives for the year.
Cooperating with EHS leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
Supporting efforts for the third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton’s EHS program as world class.
Managing data and providing EHS data processes support such as EHS reporting system.
Supporting efforts to ensure and track all key EHS operational controls to be in place and EHS action items resolved on a timely basis.
Qualifications- Master Degree in related areas is required
Languages: proficiency in Polish and English
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years professional experience.
Solid knowledge of Polish EHS laws and labor relations.
Prior extensive experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001.
Fire Safety nice to have
Flexibility; strong analytical/problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strategic planning skills
Comprehension of Eaton, industry, state, and country EHS requirements.
Strong team-building skills
Strong organizational skills
Adept at utilization of company-wide system for reporting EHS data and information
Ability to demonstrate managerial courage (e.g., managing varied interests representing potential conflicts)
Ability to lead and support cross-functional EHS teams
Prior experience or education with an emphasis in environmental, health and safety program management and employee training.
