Structure:
This program is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the Co Op rotational program, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders.
Students will develop skills through structured training, coaching and networking events. Assignments are driven by real business objectives, focus on growth technologies and allow participants to have a high level of contact with Eaton's key innovation and technology leaders. The Supply Chain Co-op will act as a member of the Commodity Team - conducting spend analysis, quote preparation, e-auction, sourcing and negotiation strategy development. In addition, the Co op will serve as a member of SCM Process Improvement Teams for project management tools, supplier capacity management, spend/payables data management, process documentation, with strong IT interface.

Other essential functions of the Supply Chain Co-op will include:
•Analysis of commodity and supply base to help finalize strategy for consolidation and cost savings
•Assessment/documentation of supplier capacity and readiness for forecasted market ramp up
•Participation on SCM Process Improvement initiatives
•Interface with IT to improve SCM systems, commodity and supplier spend data management
Over the course of this co-op, the Supply Chain Co-op will gain the following skills:

•Supplier Operations, Capacity Management and Supply Continuity
•Commercial Agreements and Contract Management
•Process Management
•Supply Chain ERP and Data Management
•Major in Integrated Supply Management
•Prefer some prior work experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Manufacturing, Engineering, or Finance
•Understanding or experience with direct material supply chain processes including: Quote and Quote Analysis, Negotiations, Contract Law, Inventory Management, Logistics, Supplier Capability Assessment and PPAP Validation.
•Understanding or experience with ERP systems and data management processes for supply chain. Experience with Oracle and JD Edwards desirable.
•Excellent analytical skills and a strong working knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Solid project management capabilities
Position Criteria:

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Supply Management, or Engineering from a nationally accredited institution
Only candidates from schools/Universities located within 50 mile radius of Galesburg, MI will be considered
Sophomore status or equivalent (freshmen if have had significant work experience)
Minimum GPA of 3.0 Required
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
