Eaton Corporation Field Service Representative - Filtration in Galesburg, Michigan

Eaton’s Filtration Division is seeking a Field Service Representative-Filtration. The Field Service Representative-Filtration will be based in Galesburg, MI.

Positon Overview:

The Field Service Representative-Filtration will be responsible for providing equipment start-up services, troubleshooting and repair, system optimization, and training assistance to Eaton Filtration personnel and customers at plant sights and offices worldwide. The incumbent will advise customers and provide best technical solution to solve the customer issue; complete assigned jobs with assistance product engineers; conduct required tests and calibration using test equipment; check and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair Eaton Filtration market segment products to ensure our customers receive a superior level of service.

  • Assure proper operation of Eaton equipment installations by providing commissioning and startup services at the customer site.

  • Conduct training seminars on the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for customers, representatives and employees.

  • Communicate product design changes for the improvement of Eaton equipment.

  • Provide technical support to customers via telephone and email.

  • Select, hire and supervise installation and/or service subcontractors as needed for large scope customer site projects.

  • Assist Specialty Product Team in execution of subcontract manufacturing orders as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in machinery repair and maintenance.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Galesburg, MI will be considered.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in machinery repair and maintenance

  • 1+ years of experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC

  • Ability to troubleshoot and program in multiple languages, including statement list and ladder logic.

  • Ability to read and interpret PLC wiring diagrams, Control Narratives and P&ID Drawings

  • Strong technical and analytical proficiency with the ability to multi-task effectively and thrive in a team environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills required.

  • Skilled in process machinery maintenance and repair with solid understanding of the fundamentals of pressure equipment.

  • Knowledgeable of general industrial installations and fluid conveyance equipment.

  • Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings and operating manuals.

  • Ability to professionally and effectively present product information in written reports or verbally to individuals or groups in challenging situations.
