Eaton Corporation Financial Controller in Fayetteville, North Carolina
Eaton’s Power Distribution and Control Assemblies Division within the Electrical Sector is seeking a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will be based at our Fayetteville, NC facility.
The Financial Controller is responsible for managing and executing all financial objectives and requirements for multiple configured to order products across two divisions, and across multiple P&Ls and locations. They will oversee the execution of all financial transactions, safeguard assets, process improvements within the finance organization, maintain adequate internal controls over company procedures to ensure adherence to management policies, and accumulate and report accurate and reliable information on the financial performance of the operation.
Ensure that all transactions are recorded to the general ledger accurately and timely and the appropriate cut off is established for the accounting period.
Manage General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Invoicing. Report reliable and accurate financial and operational results.
Manage capital acquisitions and track their progress.
Manage the employment and allocation of human, capital and financial resources.
Establish financial plans and budgets as a guideline for performance.
Monitor actual performance against those budgets.
Responsible for all cost accounting and management activities including evaluation of inventory and manufacturing product cost.
Support Operations Management in policy making and decisions aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing cost.
Oversee compliance with Government Accounting standards and regulations.
Financial planning and analysis to include preparation of annual profit plan and forecasting.
Provide guidance to the cost reduction program in the plant and implement new systems and procedures to more efficiently and capably manage the operations and assets.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or economics from an accredited institution is required.
Minimum of 5 years of finance/accounting experience
Minimum of 2 years finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 2 years management of people experience is required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Master’s degree in finance, accounting or business and/or CPA
Prior experience working in a manufacturing plant, preferably for an engineered or configured to order business
Fortune 500/1000 business with mature finance and business processes
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Ability to influence across functions and demonstrate professional presence. Exhibit managerial courage in defending a position and handling conflict.
Broad experience with an internal controls environment including knowledge or GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operation analyses/reports.
Broad general business knowledge/acumen.
Proven experience in budget preparation and budget presentation skills.
Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
Working knowledge of sourcing and manufacturing practices and performance measurement followed by Operations personnel.
Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas.
Acts as a business partner and provides thought leadership.
