Eaton’s Hydraulics Group is currently seeking a Supply Chain Operations Leader. The Supply Chain Operations Leader will be based out of our Eden Prairie, Minnesota facility
Position Overview :
This position will focus on Hydraulics Americas operational activities, purchases and programs to ensure Supplier Readiness. This position will interact with multiple Eaton manufacturing locations in the U.S. and Mexico and with the global supply base to manage assigned operational purchases to ensure uninterrupted supply at optimal cost and quality. This position will maintain an essential balance between plant operations, supplier quality, engineering changes, delivery expectations, and cost reduction metric opportunities. This position works with Supply Chain, Operations and Materials Management to drive change, implement Continuous Improvement and standardize work while partnering with business units and suppliers.
Essential Responsibilities :
Manage all operational supply chain activities including supplier relationships, engineering changes and opportunities to ensure supplier production meets delivery and capacity requirements for all commodities in all Hydraulics Americas facilities.
Partner and collaborate with external suppliers, commodity managers and buyers, supply development engineers, manufacturing plants and engineering.
Implements and manages supplier capacity management with supply base, utilizing standardize processes. Alignment with Materials Management standardized processes.
Support implementation of Supplier Min/Max, Supplier Vis and the overall replenishment process in line with Materials Management objectives.
Manage and lead projects through a standard Project Management process to define scope and requirements, complete risk planning and user technical reviews with external suppliers on critical resource projects. Manage APQP (Advanced Part Quality planning) phase of project, and manage multifunctional phase gate reviews.
Support SCM Indirect and diversity spend procurement activities across Hydraulics Americas facilities.
Manage supplier compliance and communications associated with Eaton Corporate initiatives – Code of Conduct, Conflict Minerals, Carbon Disclosure, REACH/ROHS, Project Unify, etc
Support monthly SCM Financial reporting and yearly Profit Plan process.
Support Supplier Tool Management process.
Possesses expert knowledge and applicable skills in the supply chain process.
Comply with established SCM policies and procedures and support continuous improvement of EBE processes for SCM Commodity Purchasing.
Develop strong positive ethical relationships with suppliers & adhere to Eaton’s Code of Conduct
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required
Minimum 3 years Supply Chain Experience
Minimum 1 year manufacturing industry/environment experience required
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications :
Knowledge or experience regarding metal forming and machining processes, metals engineering properties, metal market indices, currency management
Experience with SCM Program and Commodity Management functions
Experience with global sourcing and supply base management
Strong Communication and Presentation Skills
Knowledge and skills in MRP, JIT, Six Sigma, Lean Mfg., Kan Ban, Vendor Managed Inventory
Strong ethics and professional presence required
