Eaton Corporation Marketing Director in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

The Marketing Director will lead the efforts across Hydraulics Americas to profitably grow business within targeted end markets. He/She will manage additional functions related to Marketing Communications, Channel Development, Training & Commercial Excellence to drive improvements in support of organic growth.

Responsible for profitable growth across Hydraulics Americas within highly attractive targeted markets. Establishes market focus within the Hydraulics organization that includes detailed knowledge about the end markets, key customers and influencers within those markets

  • Oversees the Marketing Communications function, ensuring focus on external messaging to customer, distributors and partners.

  • Drives the focus on improving commercial excellence through standardization of selling tools and collateral to improve opportunity management and drive opportunity creation. Drive focus on process improvements by way of oversight of the Corporate-wide Front End Initiatives (Big-5).

  • Oversee the development, use and expansion of digital customer interface tools such as the PowerSource mobile and web based application.

  • Oversee and expand the training function to balance internal (sales) and external (customer & channel) capabilities development.

  • Direct and coordinate all market segment activities to develop and implement long range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives. Oversees key projects, processes, and performance report.

  • Oversee business development function to ensure adequate acquisition/alliance pipeline development and maintenance.

  • Oversee business market intelligence function to ensure adequate business analysis & reporting as part of the Hydraulics Americas business decision support process.

  • Drives the partnership between Product Management and Sales to ensure that the value propositions are clearly defined to our external customers and creating a go to market plan.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum 10 years experiencing managing in cross functional and global organization.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Engineering, Finance, Production Management, Marketing or Sales. Proven leadership capability at a senior level.
