Eaton Corporation Production Supervisor 2nd Shift in Cleveland, Tennessee
Eaton’s Hydraulics Division is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor. The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will be based at our Cleveland, TN facility.
Position Overview :
As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the receiving, storage, selection and shipment of all warehouse items received either from suppliers or production shops so as to ensure the smooth, accurate and efficient handling of material and performance of all activities to achieve on-time shipments to customers. You will be responsible for driving a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization. You will also be in charge of leading, developing, mentoring employees and providing feedback on a quarterly basis.
Manage the daily activities of all employees.
Maintain adequate metrics to ensure levels of performance are known and improved upon.
Ensure that adequate equipment is available and implemented safely so as to adequately and efficiently receive, store, track, retrieve, package and ship to customers in the required timely manner.
Implement and enforce all policies, practices, and benefits and employ effective leadership techniques and employee relation’s activities to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all people working at the facility.
Identify and implement methods and practices to achieve steady improvement in efficiency, safety, quality and service.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and key intra-company people to effectively manage the operation for best results.
Ensure thorough training and daily audits are conducted to monitor that safe practices are constantly employed throughout the facility (this includes maintaining security measures).
Regularly communicate and demonstrate the Eaton best practices, ethics, values and philosophy such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization.
Counsel and discipline employees as necessary.
Develops, motivates and coaches team members; acts as an employee advocate and interviews potential new hires.
Effectively communicates critical information to peers and associates.
Actively participates in cross-functional company-wide teams to assist in driving quality improvements, process improvements, business system enhancements and process standardization.
Assists in the creation of training plans and programs, and promotes cross-training opportunities.
Perform daily Leader Standardized Work and participate in Tier 1 and 2 meetings.
Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution.
Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, distribution or operations environment (or a combination of these functions).
No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Cleveland, TN to be considered for this role.

Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Understanding of human resources skills such as interviewing and hiring, performance management, policies & procedures definition, interpretation and implementation, sound health & safety practices and basic labor laws such as FLSA, EEO, FMLA, ADA.
Experience working with a warehouse management system.
